To the editor: I don’t know Sharon Henry. Thanks to her letter to the editor in the Tuesday, March 23, 2019 issue of the Morning Journal I now know the name of one member of the Columbiana County Republican Party’s “Judicial Screening Committee.” I understand that her letter is a reflection of her work for the Columbiana County Republican Party. Encourages support of Beaver Local levy

To the editor: On Tuesday, May 7 the voters of the Beaver Local School District will have an important decision to make: whether or not to vote to renew the existing operating levy. This levy was first passed in 1994. I was on the board of education at that time and our facilities were in a sorry state. Beaver Local had obtained some noteriety for having a basketball game canceled due to rain. The buckets on the gym floor made it unsafe for the game to continue. To the editor: I’m writing this letter since I grew up in the Lisbon and Columbiana area and it has come to my attention that Ms. Lewis is trying her best to bring back the life of her hometown of Lisbon. Even though I’m writing from afar, I do visit my family on occasion, which they have lived there all of their lives. He mentions, “Legal but destructive hijacking of the Oval Office.” He could have continued and stated accurately, “In an effort to drain the swamp.” And, hijacking? Interesting choice of words.
