Salem — Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 1:57 p.m. Thursday regarding an elderly man that began showing up the woman’s place of employment and has allegedly made remarks which are in line with having a desire to establish a romantic relationship with the caller. The man has reportedly been a customer at the business for approximately a year, but in the past month his behavior has become increasingly concerning, causing the woman to be fearful of him. Sheriff’s Office — Deputies at 4:50 a.m. Aug. 10 responded to a report of an assault at a property on Signal Road, Fairfield Township where a man reported there was an altercation between him and another male who kept trying to prevent him from leaving in his vehicle by opening the door and standing in the way.
