-- Deputies were called at 11:42 p.m. Wednesday to Skyline Drive, Yellow Creek Township for a domestic disturbance, advised of an assault by the female victim who had visible injuries. Zachary Paxson, 46, Skyline Drive, Wellsville, advised that an assault took place and was taken into custody and taken to the Columbiana County jail. According to Municipal Court records, charges against him include domestic violence and strangulation.

-- Officers responded to the 46000 block of state Route 46 at 8:32 a.m. Wednesday where a woman said a man exposed himself to her in public, but the man denied the accusation.
Leetonia
-- Dispatch notified village police that there were cows by the generator at Haltec Corp in the 100 block of Industry Street at 8:22 a.m. Tuesday. Zoning officer Gavin Rambo and Police Chief Allen Haueter responded and told the cattle's owners to repair their fence and keep the cattle on their own property.
-- Steven Faulkner, no address listed, was cited at 7:41 p.m. Aug. 18 for driving under a suspended license and excessive window tint.
-- An officer responded to the Leetonia football field, where a 10-year-old juvenile male was refusing to leave with his father at 7:40 p.m. Aug. 14. The boy eventually went with his mother, who is no longer together with his father and disagreed about the man's behavior in front of other parents and players. Police advised both parties that this sounds more like a parenting issue instead of needing to involve the police.
-- Samantha Miller, of Main Street, was cited at 1:44 p.m. Aug. 7 for allowing her dog to run at large, after it menaced an Oak Street resident.
-- Police responded at 4:49 p.m. Aug. 18 to conduct a welfare check after getting dispatch calls there about a distraught female subject in the area of 344 and Old 344. Although she wouldn't tell the female officer what upset her, she was cordial and was able to be identified and transported back home.
-- John Alan Velk, no address listed, was cited at 4:33 p.m. Aug. 17 for failure to yield in the 700 block of Columbia Street after pulling into the path of Alex David Horst, who was traveling west on Columbia Street. Neither driver was injured.
-- Police investigated a reckless operation complaint at 9:39 p.m. Aug. 15 near Pine and Main streets.
-- A care management supervisor requested a welfare check on one of her patients at 3:36 p.m. Aug. 15. The woman had been having suicidal thoughts and had attempted suicide in the past. The patient was voluntarily transported to Mercy Health-St. Elizabeth in Boardman for evaluation.
-- Mathew S. Pliska, no address listed, was charged at 3:38 p.m. Aug. 19 with expired license and obstructed license plate after a traffic stop near state Route 344 and Water Street. His vehicle was impounded.
-- Officers responded at 10:27 p.m. Aug. 13 to a domestic dispute in the 300 block of Columbia Street. The male half was observed to be "severely intoxicated and had apparent bodily injuries to his face and right upper thigh." Though emotional, the female half had no apparent physical injuries. According to the male half, he had walked home from the bar and found the doors to the home locked, so he broke a downstairs window to gain entry, triggering the female half to contact police. Although they had argued a few different times during the day, it hadn't gotten physical, he addd. She confirmed no physical altercation had transpired. The male half was transported to the hospital for the treatment of his injuries, the female half responded to a relative's home with her kids until further notice and was advised on how to obtain a protection order.

-- Officers responded to the 200 block of East Seventh Street at 10:38 p.m. Wednesday for a wellness check. The caller advised she'd been unable to contact her sister for five days and was concerned about her. Officers were unable to make contact, and due to the woman's vehicle not being on the property and not having enough information, entry into the residence was not made.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of Walnut Street at 8:04 p.m. Wednesday for a civil issue. The caller advised that she came to the residence to retrieve her washer and dryer but was refused access to the residence. After speaking with the person in question he agreed to allow her to have items to put the issue to rest.
-- Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 7:09 p.m. Wednesday who advised her son's medication had been delivered to her old address. Officers spoke with the resident where the medication was delivered, and the man advised officers the package was thrown away.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of Franklin Avenue at 7:08 p.m. Wednesday for a reported neighbor dispute between two family members. This has been an ongoing issue and officers advised them to leave each other alone.
-- Officers responded to Waterworth Memorial Park at 6:20 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a man harassing people, acting strangely, and using derogatory language. Officers located a male juvenile matching the given description and advised to the leave the park for the evening. Officers observed the juvenile walk to his residence.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of South Ellsworth Avenue at 4:03 p.m. Wednesday for a reported domestic in progress. When officers arrived, the involved parties were separated and advised they were in a verbal altercation but were now calm and that they were okay. They were both advised of the domestic violence laws and advised to call if they needed anything.
-- Officers responded to the 1400 block of East Pershing Street at 4:01 p.m. Wednesday for a report of two men climbing the rafters. Officers spoke with them and advised them to refrain from climbing in the rafters and both apologized and advised they were sorry and would not do so again.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of East Sixth Street at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday for a reported domestic in progress. The caller advised that her juvenile grandson who she had guardianship of threatened to harm her while having a knife in his possession. After a brief investigation the juvenile, whose name wasn't listed, was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the police department for processing then transported to the Tobin Center.
-- While on scene in the 400 block of Franklin Avenue at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday officers observed a sick cat. Officers also observed the residence to be in unfavorable living conditions, and housing was called to the scene.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of Franklin Avenue at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised a brick was thrown at her by a known man. The woman did not have any injuries and advised that she only wanted a report on file.
-- Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 400 block of South Lundy Avenue at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday for an expired registration. During the stop officers observed a Zip-Lock bag with cut up pills inside as well as a prescription bottle next to it. The prescription bottle belonged to a woman known to the driver, whose name was not listed. The driver was cited for expired registration and the medication was confiscated and will be returned to the person it was prescribed to.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of Hickory Lane at 11:37 a.m. Wednesday for a report of telecommunications harassment. The caller advised a company is constantly calling him and sending him medical supplies he did not order, and he wants it to stop. Officers advised him he could block the number or contact this phone provider to see what other options are available.
