-- Deputies were dispatched at 7:13 a.m. Sunday for a female experiencing a medical emergency on Miller Road, Salem Township. She was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation.
-- A welfare check was requested at 8:49 p.m. Saturday in the parking lot of Discount Drug Mart, state Route 45, Center Township on a female arguing with a male who then left walking on foot. A deputy checked the area, but had no contact with anyone.
-- A deputy was dispatched at 3:44 p.m. Saturday to Jersey Ridge Road, Salem Township for a welfare check. The person was fine.
-- A Crisis Intervention Team deputy at 2:08 a.m. Friday spoke with a man who was having a mental health crisis on Depot Road, Center Township. The man did not want any further assistance and just wanted to speak with a deputy to help him calm his crisis down.
-- A man on Canal Street, West Township requested a report at 7:27 p.m. Friday that a woman from Stark County stole his American Bully dog and his tattoo accessories out of his vehicle parked on his property.
-- A deputy was dispatched at 4:15 p.m. Friday to Margaret Lane, Knox Township for a medical call. Homeworth EMS and Sebring EMS were on scene and Sebring EMS transported the person to Aultman Alliance Community Hospital in Alliance.
-- A domestic violence report was taken at 6:22 p.m. Thursday on Butler Grange Road, Butler Township, with a refusal signed.
-- A suspicious person was reported at 11:23 p.m. Aug. 21 in the parking lot of Duke & Duchess, U.S. Route 62, Knox Township. While a deputy was en route, dispatch advised Smith Township police, Mahoning County, were out with the person who was in their jurisdiction now. A deputy stood by with Smith Township police at U.S. Route 62 and Oyster Road in Smith Township while Sebring EMS evaluated the person.
-- A woman on Applegate Road, Center Township reported at 7:44 p.m. Aug. 21 that her surveillance cameras captured a man trespassing on her property who stole her cigarettes and lighter off of her patio.
-- A man on Rochester Road, West Township, at 5:48 p.m. Aug. 21 requested a report on file that a woman from Stark County stole four tires and $90 from his residence.
-- A deputy was dispatched at 7:46 p.m. Aug. 20 to state Route 164, Center Township, for a bucket in the roadway that Richard Vecchio allegedly placed there. Vecchio, 62, state Route 164, Lisbon, was charged with criminal mischief, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct and taken to the Columbiana County jail. He's facing a pretrial Oct. 29 in county Municipal Court.
-- A woman on Rose Drive, Center Township, reported at 7:03 p.m. Aug. 20 that her vehicle was keyed while parking in the parking lot at Discount Drug Mart, state Route 45, Center Township.
-- A woman on Hammond School Road, Madison Township reported at 6:27 p.m. Aug. 20 that a man who lives in the area was trespassing on her property. She told him to stay off of her property.
-- A woman on Raley Road, Elkrun Township reported at 4:08 p.m. Aug. 20 that a man from Middleton Township broke the driver's side back passenger window on her vehicle.
-- A deputy was dispatched at 3:55 p.m. Aug. 20 to old state Route 344, Salem Township, for a domestic between a man and a woman. A refusal was signed.
-- Deputies were dispatched at 5:59 a.m. Aug. 18 to Hilltop Drive, Center Township, for a domestic violence report between a woman and her live-in boyfriend. A refusal was signed.
-- Deputies were dispatched at 1:44 a.m. Aug. 18 to Grant Street, Rogers, for a domestic violence report. Warrants for domestic violence and disrupting public services were issued out of county Municipal Court for a Rogers man.
-- On Aug. 3 at 4:55 a.m., deputies were made aware of a possible missing person somewhere on the Greenway bike trail. The male later returned home after deputies searched all the parking lots.
Salem
-- Officers on patrol in the 2700 block of East State Street at 2:20 a.m. Saturday observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and were granted consent to search the vehicle, recovering contraband. Officers gave the driver a verbal warning for the traffic violation.
-- Officers responded to the area of West State Street and Benton Road at 11:01 p.m. Friday for a report of a reckless operator heading toward the city. The vehicle never entered the city.
-- Officers were flagged down in the 2300 block of East State Street at 9:32 p.m. Friday by a distraught juvenile who advised their mother was at a residence in Rogers and had been assaulted by a man who allegedly had firearms in the residence. Officers obtained the address of the incident and contacted the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office to respond. The woman was able to leave the residence and drive away where she was instructed to wait for deputies to arrive.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of East State Street at 9:13 p.m. Friday for a report of theft. The caller advised that a man had put $36.35 of gas into his vehicle and drove off without paying. No plate number was observed by the employee.
-- Officers responded to the 700 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 8:23 p.m. Friday for a reported person with a gun. Officers checked the area, but nobody was located.
-- Officers on patrol in the 400 block of South Lundy Avenue at 7:26 p.m. Friday observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, and K-9 Simon responded and conducted a free-air sniff around the vehicle with a positive indication for the presence of narcotics. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle, and no contraband was located. The driver was issued a written warning for the traffic violation.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of West Eight Street at 6:48 p.m. Friday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised a person was making social media posts stating their son was responsible for recent reports of vandalism and putting pictures of her home online, and even made comments about driving past the caller's house. The caller felt threatened by the incident, so officers located the person and spoke with them about it.
-- Officers responded to the 200 block of West Seventh Street at 6:35 p.m. Friday for a reported juvenile problem. Officers spoke with the mother of the juvenile that was riding his scooter in the roadway. The juvenile went into the residence.
-- Officers responded to the area of North Broadway Avenue at 4:43 p.m. Friday for a reported hit and skip. The caller advised that an unknown person knocked down a stop sign about a week ago. When officers arrived, the sign was propped up and the proper department was notified and will respond to fix it.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of West Sixth Street at 4:33 p.m. Friday for a reported custody dispute. The caller advised that the person would not give him his daughter for his court appointed time. Officers spoke to the person who advised it was not his time yet and that she would not give him his daughter when it was. He was advised that he would have to go to court over the matter.
-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of Higland Avenue at 2:40 p.m. Friday to assist Perry Township officers. When officers arrived the person in question exited the residence and refused officers commands. The man was tazed and then transported to the emergency room by ambulance. Due to the man's actions officers responded to the emergency room and had to assist the emergency room staff when the man again became combative.
