Railroad signal worker expresses his views

To the editor: I am a railroad signal worker for Norfolk Southern Railroad and I am a proud union member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen (BRS). I am one of the over 6,000 men and women who build, maintain and inspect the major Class I freight railroads’ signal systems that ensure the safe movement of trains and protect the public at highway-rail grade crossings. County Auditor: Property reappraisal completed

To the citizens of Columbiana County: I wanted to let you know we recently completed our 2022 reappraisal which is mandated by the State of Ohio to be completed every six years (O.R.C. 5713.01.) Every property in the county was viewed by an appraiser from the appraisal firm John G. Cleminshaw, Inc. to determine each parcel’s market value. Supports Gov. DeWine’s stance on capital punishment

To the editor: I am writing to respond the Morning Journal’s editorial “DeWine deserves another term as governor of Ohio,” specifically to the point about his enforcement of capital punishment. As a person of faith, I applaud the governor for issuing reprieves and approaching this issue carefully and thoughtfully. In Ohio ending the death penalty is a bipartisan issue. To the editor: Just like two years ago, State Senator Michael Rulli’s ads are saying that he will represent all of us. I wonder now, as I have for two years — how CAN he when we never even see him? In the past several months, Rulli has been conspicuously absent from major events to which all candidates are invited and expected to show up. Expresses support for both parks levies

To the editor: As former Mayor of Salem, I would like to continue to express my support for the Columbiana County Park District Levy, as well as, the Salem Parks Renewal Levy, which both will appear on the November 8th ballot. The voters of Salem have long shown their support for city parks levies because, I believe, they enjoy a well-maintained parks system that provides much needed recreation close to home and they understand how those parks can be an economic development driver.
