County Sheriff — Columbiana County mental health officials called at 12:58 p.m. Wednesday to request a welfare check on a female at a Y & O Road property, Madison Township, due to her alleged mental state. A deputy spoke to the property owner in the driveway who said the female was evicted a month ago and there were new tenants living there. He did not know where she was located now. They had come to the sheriff’s office to file a theft report. A female victim told deputies that she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend at the Elk Run Water Plant. The caller advised they were going to be in the hospital for an extended period of time and provide care for a family member with known health issues.
