Salem – A Hanoverton resident reported at 4:41 p.m. Saturday that while at work in the 200 block of Continental Drive Friday, someone stole $900 from out of her purse. — Manual Ybarra, 62, of Youngstown was cited for failure to yield the right of way when turning left after his vehicle struck one driven by Nathan Roush, 21, of Claybrook Drive in East Palestine near state Routes 14 and 165 at 3:21 p.m. June 28 in Unity Township. — Braedon Cooper, 18, of Ohio Avenue in Salem was cited for failure to control shortly after 7:03 p.m. June 26 in Knox Township, after he lost control of his vehicle on Bandy Road, traveling off the left side of the road and striking a ditch, embankment and culvert.

Salem — Officers responded to the 200 block of Ohio Avenue at 11:55 p.m. Monday for a report of criminal damaging. The caller advised that while at work, a neighbor contacted him, who advised there was a loud disturbance inside his residence, and when he returned home from work, he found it had been ransacked. There was no forced entry, and the caller believed the only person with a key had entered and broken his property but declined to pursue the matter legally.
