-- Nathan Kaufman, 30, Salem was arrested at 7:32 a.m. Thursday on an active warrant after a traffic stop on state Route 558.
-- Deputies responded to Main Street in Leetonia at 12:02 a.m. to an alarm at a business on Thursday. The area was checked and found to be secure.
-- Deputies performed a welfare check on a female on Cogan Road in West Township on Thursday at 4;07 a.m.. The female advised she was fine.
-- Deputies responded at 12 a.m. on Tuesday to Hammond School Road in Madison Township to reports of possible prowlers. No persons or evidence of anyone on the property was observed.
-- Deputies responded at 1:09 a.m. on Saturday to the Columbiana County Fairgrounds in Lisbon to a report of an RV parked in a field.
-- Deputies were unable to respond to a report of loud music at 1:32 a.m. on Carmel Anchor Road in Middleton Township on Saturday. A follow-up call was attempted but no one answered. No message was able to be left due to the mailbox being full.
-- Deputies responded at 7:40 a.m. to Hadley Road in Unity Township to reports of a female experiencing a mental health crisis on July 21. The female was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation.
-- Deputies assisted at 3:15 a.m. on July 21 to a fire at a residence on Walnut Street in Rogers.
Salem
-- Officers responded to the Foundry at 3:15 a.m. Friday for a report of an altercation. Officers spoke with the parties involved and found there had been no altercation, and it was stopped before matters were escalated. Officers collected the relevant information.
-- Officers on patrol observed a vehicle parked near the tennis courts of Waterworth Memorial Park after closing hours at 10:43 p.m. Thursday. Officers spoke with them and advised them of park hours, and they left without incident.
-- Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 8:14 p.m. Thursday regarding an incident at Southeast Elementary School. Caller advised that she was waiting for her son's father to pick him up from football practice, when the father's girlfriend arrived to pick him up instead and the woman refused to allow her son to leave with the girlfriend, which caused them to become agitated and a dispute ensued. The woman claimed that the girlfriend had gotten into her face and argued that she was, in fact, going to let her son leave with her. No violence nor any threats had taken place, but the caller wanted the matter documented, and officers advised her that a report would be on file.
-- Officers responded to the 1100 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 6:57 p.m. Thursday for a reported juvenile complaint. The caller advised multiple juveniles were purposely ringing doorbells to the residence and running away. Officers identified the juveniles and spoke with their parents, advising them not to go back to the property.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of Walnut Street at 6 p.m. Thursday for a report of an unruly juvenile. The juvenile was reportedly refusing to listen to parents and acting out. Officers spoke with the juvenile and educated them on why they have to listen to their parents.
-- Officers responded to the 1100 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 5:23 p.m. Thursday for a report of several small juveniles trespassing on the caller's property. The juveniles were gone prior to officers' arrival, so officers responded to their residence to speak with their guardian but were unable to contact them.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of Franklin Street at 3:40 p.m. Thursday for a wellness check on a child that the caller advised was being screamed at. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the father of the child, and he advised that his young son ran into the street to get his ball and was almost struck by a car and that is why he was getting yelled at.
Perry Township
-- Officers responded to the area of Crybaby Bridge at 12:43 a.m. Friday for a report of multiple vehicles on private property. Officers spoke with the involved parties who advised they were taking photos of their vehicles just off the roadway and would be on their way.
-- Officers responded to the 600 block of Main Street at 4:16 p.m. Thursday for a wellness check. The caller advised that his brother had sent family members threatening text messages about his well-being and he had not heard from him since earlier in the day. Officers found the man in emotional distress due to his housing situation, and the man was transported to Aultman Community Hospital in Alliance.
-- Officers on patrol in the 1700 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday located a vehicle parked near an abandoned home and were able to identify the vehicle as the property owner's. Officers were unable to make contact.
-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of Depot Road at 11:04 p.m. Wednesday for a reported neighbor complaint. Officers advised the caller that there was nothing criminal going on, and of their options.
-- Pierce Stell, 19, Salem, was cited for reasonable control after his eastbound vehicle on Hearthside Drive experienced a brake failure and went off the roadway, striking a stop sign at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday.
-- Officers responded to U.S. Route 62 near Michigan Boulevard at 10:28 p.m. Tuesday for a report of juveniles riding their bikes in the roadway. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the juveniles.
-- Officers responded with the fire department to the 1100 block of Beechwood Road at 5:39 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a tree that had fallen onto powerlines and into the roadway. Officers closed the roadway and conducted traffic control while Ohio Edison responded to remove the obstruction.
-- Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday for an animal complaint. The woman advised that she observed her parents' chickens being attacked by a dog through her parents' security cameras. The caller advised that her parents were out of town, and she resided in Pittsburgh. Officers instructed the caller to have her parents file an additional report when they return home later in the week.
