-- Officers responded to the area of Continental Drive and Bentley Drive at 8:48 p.m. Saturday for a report of potential shots fired. Officers checked the surrounding area but did not hear any shots.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of South Broadway Avenue at 3:10 p.m. Saturday for a report of a suspicious person. The caller advised that a man known to her had been in the business three times and had been acting strangely. The caller advised that due to the man's actions she asked him to leave the store. The man had left the store prior to officers' arrival and could not be located, and the caller was advised to contact officers if the person returned. With the assistance of a witness officers were able to identify the person in question, and spoke with the man by phone, advising him that he was no longer welcome at the businesses. Officers further advised the man that he would face criminal charges if he returned to the business and the man stated that he understood and would not return.
-- Officers responded to the 700 block of East Third Street at 12:14 p.m. Saturday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised that someone known to her had broken the door to one of the kitchen cabinets while she was not at the residence. Officers advised the caller of the options for dealing with the situation.
-- Officers responded to the 1100 block of Newgarden Avenue at 12:10 p.m. for a civil matter. After speaking with the caller, officers found all issues were found to be civil.
-- Officers responded to the 1900 block of East State Street at 4:27 a.m. Saturday for a report of a person wishing to speak with an officer. The caller advised that they had a patient making disturbing comments about harming a person. Officers were able to confirm the comments were false.
-- Officers responded to the area of U.S. Route 62 at 4:13 a.m. Saturday to assist a Perry Township officer with a motor vehicle accident with multiple occupants. Officers stood by while the Perry Township officer conducted field sobriety testing.
-- Officers responded to the Salem Regional Medical Center at 2:19 a.m. Saturday to assist medical personnel after a nude man from a prior call refused to get off of EMT's cot and into the hospital bed. When officers arrived, the man was already on the hospital bed and a nurse advised that the man "pulled a pill out of his butt and ate it." The man became somewhat verbally belligerent and was restrained with leather restraints by hospital staff.
-- Officers responded to the 800 block of Aetna Street at 1:55 a.m. Saturday for a report of a man walking nude and possibly climbing trees. When officers arrived, the man was found sitting under a tree "in a meditating position with berries in his hand and stated his name was Allah," the man further claimed that "Santa Claus was dead in his basement." The fire department and EMT responded and EMT transported the man to the Salem Regional medical Center for evaluation. Personnel later checked the basement after further statements were made to nursing staff and no problems were encountered in the basement of the home.
-- Officers responded to the 1100 block of Cleveland Street at 10:59 p.m. Friday for a loud music complaint. Officers spoke with the homeowner and advised him of the complaint and to turn the music down.
-- Officers responded to the Salem Regional Medical Center at 10:25 p.m. Friday for a person with an active warrant. Officers arrested Jamie Allen, 25, Lisbon, and transported them to the Columbiana County Jail.
-- Officers spoke with a with a woman from New Mexico by phone at 6:57 p.m. Friday who had concerns about her children who were living with their father in the city. Officers advised the caller she would need to contact her local law enforcement agency concerning the issues that she was having.
-- Officers responded to the 1000 block of East Fourth Street at 4:49 p.m. Friday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised that someone unknown to him had broken out one of the windows at his grandfather's residence. Officers advised the caller of their options for dealing with the situation.
-- Officers spoke to a man at the police department at 3:16 p.m. Friday to report his vehicle stolen. The caller advised that he believes his adult son took the vehicle without his permission from the 500 block of East Fourth Street, and that he also believed they had taken some of his prescription medication. The vehicle was entered into LEADS as unauthorized use.
-- Officers spoke to a woman by phone at 2:52 p.m. Friday to speak with an officer about receiving unwanted text messages from a person that she believes she knows. Officers advised the caller of their options.
-- Officers responded to the 1900 block of Maple Street at 1:37 p.m. Friday for a speak with officer report. The caller was concerned about their property line, and officers advised her that she would need to contact a survey company about the issue.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 8:42 a.m. Friday to follow up on a previous incident. Officers observed a man with an active warrant walking away from the residence and made contact with them. Officers confirmed the warrant and took the man Dillon Corfee, 23, Austintown, into custody without incident and transported to the Columbiana County Jail. Contraband was recovered and turned over to the Drug Task Force.
-- Officers responded to the area of Spring Street and Arch Street at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday for a reported water line break. When officers arrived the break "was pretty substantial with a lot of water coming from the curb lawn." The water department was contacted to respond.
-- Officers responded to the 300 block of East Sixth Street at 3:54 a.m. Tuesday for a report of alleged criminal damaging. The caller advised that three people were beating the car with tools and fled upon being seen. The damage to the vehicle was not consistent with what could have been done with tools and instead looked as if the vehicle had been in an accident prior and the damage was from striking something. The caller did not know anything about this, so the origin of the damage is unknown. Officers collected the relevant information.
-- Officers responded to the 2300 block of Lexington Avenue at 1:06 a.m. Tuesday for a noise complaint. Officers spoke with people in question and advised them to keep the noise down. The people that did not live at the residence left the area.
-- Officers responded to the 1800 block of Maple Street at 12:38 a.m. Tuesday for a reported domestic in progress. Officers found the matter was a verbal dispute with no violence. Officers advised them to stay separated for the night.
-- Officers on patrol in the 2300 block of East State Street at 12:04 a.m. Tuesday for a report of two people rummaging through the dumpster of the business. The people were advised to leave the area.
-- Officers responded to the 300 block of East Sixth Street at 10:36 p.m. Monday for a report of a barking dog. Officers were unable to contact the homeowner, so a door tag was left regarding violating a city ordinance.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of East Euclid Street at 10:14 p.m. Monday for a reported fight. The caller advised multiple people were coming to her residence to start a physical altercation. While officers were on scene the people never arrived, and the caller was advised to stay indoors and call officers back if the people arrived.
-- Officers responded to the 1000 block of East Third Street at 9:22 p.m. Monday for a report of a person using lawn equipment past the prohibited time in the city. The person was advised of the noise ordinance times for power equipment.
-- Officers responded to the 400 block of West State Street at 7:22 p.m. Monday for a report of an unruly juvenile. The caller advised that her juvenile son was not following her rules and doing what he wanted to do. He was advised to follow the rules at the house and the caller was informed about how to file possible unruly juvenile charges if the situation did not improve.
-- Officers responded to the 500 block of East Third Street at 7:11 p.m. Monday for a report of someone yelling for help. Officers spoke with the residents and found that the tenant was in need of medical attention. The fire department and EMT responded, and the tenant was transported to the hospital.
-- Officers responded to the 900 block of West Wilson Street at 6:50 p.m. Monday for a reported dispute between siblings. Officers spoke with both woman and advised them of the laws pertaining to domestic violence and hitting each other. They were calm prior to officers' departure and one half took a walk for a while.
-- Officers responded to the 600 block of Franklin Avenue at 6:38 p.m. Monday for a reported altercation between two adult siblings who do not live together. The altercation did turn physical but both parties did not want anything to be done. One party left the residence for the remainder of the evening.
-- Officers responded to the 1200 block of East Sixth Street at 6:27 p.m. Monday for a wellness check on a man sleeping in a vehicle. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the man.
-- Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 5:06 p.m. Monday for a reported accident. The caller advised that she was traveling west on East State Street when an unknown person riding a bike struck the front passenger side of the car then rode off without providing any info. Minor damage was observed to the side of the vehicle and photos were taken.
-- Officers responded to the 600 block of East School Street at 4:40 p.m. Monday for a reported music complaint. The caller advised that a yellow SUV was parked between the houses with loud music playing. Officers located the vehicle and advised the owner to keep the radio down, and he complied without incident.
-- Officers responded to the 100 block of Jennings Avenue at 1:12 p.m. Monday for a reported dispute. The caller was upset that his landlord had stopped by, but no incident had occurred.
-- Officers spoke with a person at the police department at 1:16 p.m. Monday for a reported scam. The caller advised that they received a letter in the mail about winning a cash prize. The person advised that they called the Federal Trade Commission and found out it was a scam. The caller just wanted a report made.
-- Officers responded to the 600 block of East Second Street at 11:48 a.m. Monday for a report of people to be removed. Officers located a man and woman behind the business and advised them they weren't allowed to be on the property. The woman advised she wasn't feeling well and that's why they were behind the business. First responders were called out to the location and the woman was transported by EMT to the Salem Regional Medical Center.
-- Officers responded with the fire department and EMT to the 600 block of Franklin Avenue at 11:27 a.m. Monday for a public assist. Officer assistance was requested due to having to force entry into the home, and upon arrival the fire department forced entry and spoke with a male resident.
