Sheriff’s Office — A woman on Valley Road, Butler Township, reported at 7:41 p.m. Saturday that her ex-boyfriend, who moved out of the residence, took her television and other belongings. The ex-boyfriend advised he did not move out of the residence and the television is his. He said he was waiting for her to move out of his residence, which is in his name, before he will start staying there again. He said she stole multiple items from him. Sheriff’s Office — Deputies were dispatched at 7:34 p.m. Jan. 18 to assist the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office after their deputies were attempting to stop a vehicle that entered Washington Township on state Route 164, northbound from Jefferson County. While en route, dispatch advised the vehicle entered back into Carroll County on state Route 39 and crashed just over the county line and the driver took off on foot, came back into Columbiana County and was in Salineville. Police arrived and backtracked the shots as waterfowl hunters in the marshlands to the south of the residence. — A barking dog complaint was received a 8:54 p.m. Jan. 21 in the 300 block of Columbia Street. The building was checked from outside and appeared secure from ground level. — An alarm call was reported at 2:57 a.m. Thursday at an address on state Route 170, Middleton Township, where a deputy checked the property and found it secure. Sheriff’s Office — A deputy was dispatched at 5:38 a.m. Saturday to the area of U.S. Route 30 west of County Home Road for debris in the roadway. Nothing was located when the deputy checked the area. The complainant advised they struck something large on the road and got a flat tire. Officers were advised that a person was possibly sleeping inside the storage shed. Officers located the person who advised he was just trying to get out of the cold and officers advised him that he could not stay there, and that the property owner had trespassed him.
