— Officers responded to the 1100 block of Maple Street at 9:30 p.m. Friday for a wellness check on a person allegedly making comments about harming himself. Officers spoke with the person who advised he would like to speak with someone and the fire department and EMT were contacted and transported them to the Salem Regional Medical Center.

— Officers responded to the 800 block of East Fifth Street at 9:25 p.m. Friday for a report of a man on drugs. The caller advised that they just wanted them to leave. Officers stood by while the man gathered his belongings and left the scene.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of East Fifth Street at 5:45 a.m. Saturday for a reported domestic in progress. Officers spoke with both parties, and they agreed to separate for the night. Statement forms were provided and neither party completed them.

— Officers responded to the 1400 block of Cleveland Street at 12:37 a.m. Thursday where a resident reported something making a noise in her house, possibly an animal. Officers searched the house, but found nothing.

— Shawn Michael German, 18, Prospect Street, Salem, was arrested on an active warrant for theft out of Boardman after officers responded to his home for a warrant check at 9:12 p.m. Wednesday.

— Tobias Michael Menough, 47, Lisbon Road, Salem, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear and driving under suspension following a traffic stop on East Sixth Street and North Lincoln Avenue at 12:32 a.m. Wednesday.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of New Garden Avenue at 11:54 a.m. Tuesday in reference to a cement truck that had been making a delivery in the area and struck a fire hydrant. Officers contacted the company and advised them of the situation.

— Breanna Lynn Chambers, 26, High Street, Leetonia, was cited for assured clear distance ahead following a two-vehicle crash in which she was turning north off Sugar Tree Ally onto North Lincoln Avenue, striking a southbound vehicle driven by James Lowell Rounds, 41, Youngstown. No injuries were reported.

— Officers responded to a 2800 block East State Street business at 6:18 p.m. Monday in reference to someone who had taken multiple items totaling $840.21. The person in question has been trespassed from the business and the matter is being investigating for possible charges.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of East State Street at 3:52 p.m. Monday where the complainant reported someone who had been trespassed from a property in the 100 block of South Lincoln Avenue had parked his vehicle on the property, at which point a verbal altercation took place. Officers told the complainant to fill out a written statement since they could not positively identify the suspect in camera footage.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 3:17 p.m. Monday where a resident reported someone had tied a dog to her back porch, but that she does not own a dog. Officers contacted the dog warden to retrieve the dog.

— An Allen Road business reported at 1:21 p.m. Monday receiving bad checks. The caller said she had already contacted the bank. The matter was turned over to the detective division.

Officers responded to the 800 block of Jennings Avenue at 9:44 a.m. Monday where a caller reported receiving unwanted calls from several businesses. The caller was advised of options for dealing with the situation.

— Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 7:39 a.m. Monday in reference to a natural death. The coroner’s officer responded and released the body to a local funeral home.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of East Seventh Street at 6:51 a.m. Monday in reference to the well-being of a juvenile. Upon arrival, officer found no one lives at the address. Officers made contact with the school resource officer to advise him of the incident.
