Sheriff’s Office
— A woman on Buck Road, Knox Township reported at 10:55 p.m. Wednesday that her landlord was at the residence pounding on the front door causing a disturbance. While en route, dispatch advised to disregard due to the landlord leaving in her vehicle.
— A Sebring woman at 2:03 p.m. Wednesday requested a welfare check on her 8-year-old daughter, who was staying at her father’s residence on Speidel Road, Hanover Township. A deputy observed the 8-year-old to be fine and spoke with the father.
— A resident on Sprucevale Road, Middleton Township, reported at 1:55 p.m. Wednesday that a man arrived at his residence in a red vehicle inquiring on purchasing the residence, which is not for sale. He then left.
— Deputies were dispatched at 11:47 p.m. Tuesday to a domestic dispute on Echo Dell Road, Middleton Township, where both parties involved said they were only arguing. There were no physical marks on either person. The man had warrants for his arrest. He was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County jail, but his name was not listed on the report.
— A woman on Steubenville Pike Road, Center Township, called at 9:56 p.m. Tuesday to report a man who was staying at her residence for a couple of days was now leaving. She found him trying to enter the residence through a window to obtain his belongings. She told him to come back the next day to get his belongings.
— A woman on Darlington Road, Middleton Township reported at 7:11 p.m. Tuesday that a man from State Line Road, Middleton Township, kept driving up and down the road in his blue vehicle, pulled into her driveway on her property, flipped her off, then left. A deputy spoke to the man by phone and told him to stay off of the woman’s property.
— Walter Ray Fortney, 71, state Route 164, Leetonia, was taken into custody for violation of a protection order after a deputy was dispatched to Center Township regarding the alleged violation at 4:33 p.m. Tuesday. The victim said Fortney was yelling towards him from across the property line and taking photographs of him while he was mowing his yard. The deputy made contact with Fortney, who showed the picture he took which clearly showed the protected person, in violation of the order to not use any form of electronic surveillance on the protected person.
— A man on Bayard Road, West Township reported at 1:55 p.m. Tuesday that his roommate moved out and won’t come to get the rest of their belongings.
— A deputy at 7:24 p.m. Monday returned a call and made contact with a Steubenville Pike Road, Center Township residence regarding a civil matter, advising them how to proceed. The deputy attempted to contact the other party, but received no answer and left a message.
— A deputy at 6:54 p.m. Monday returned a call regarding a protection order violation on Plymouth Street, Hanoverton. The deputy was sent video footage and after receiving it, told the caller the issue would be civil.
— While in the custody of the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office at the East Liverpool City Hospital emergency department at 5:39 a.m. Monday, Helen I. Reynolds, 57, Annesley Road, East Liverpool was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction of official business.
— Deputies responded at 8:56 p.m. Sunday to Waterford Road, Unity Township for one to be removed. While en route, deputies were advised the person involved had an active arrest warrant. Upon arrival, deputies were told the person ran into the woods and then checked the immediate and surrounding areas. Christine Christian, 49, Waterford Road, East Palestine, was found and transported to jail on the arrest warrant.
— A tire was reported in the middle of the road on Sell Road at 2:40 a.m. March 27. The area was checked for a possible traffic crash, but nothing was located.
Liverpool Township
— An officer explained the steps that a victim of a hit and run would need to take when she went to the station on March 18 to file a police report on the incident.
— Richard Powell, age and address not provided, was issued a citation with a court date for failure to signal and a verbal warning for marked lanes during a March 19 traffic stop on Dewey Avenue.
— Homer Charles Carnes, 46, address not provided, was arrested for OVI and transported to the police station for a breath test during a March 20 traffic stop on state Route 7. Carnes was issued citations for speed of 75 mph in a 55-mph, driving under suspension, OVI, and for blowing over the legal limit putting him at a range of 0.08 and 0.17. He was issued a court date and released to his sister.
— April Galloway was issued a citation for expired plates during a March 22 traffic stop on Parkway Avenue.
— Colton Wade, age and address not provided, was issued citations for no operator’s license and expired plates during a March 2 traffic stop on Parkway Avenue. First Class Towing towed the vehicle.
— Barbara Thornberry, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for speed during a March 25 traffic stop on state Route 7.
-Koby Plum, age and address not provided, was issued a citation and court date for driving with expired plates during a March 26 traffic stop on state Route 7.
— Adam Gallimore, 39, address not provided, was arrested and transported to Columbiana County Jail for three outstanding warrants during a March 26 traffic stop on Parkway Avenue for a loud exhaust. During the arrest officers conducted an inventory of his vehicle which was towed by and impounded by First Class Towing and found in plain view a Ziploc bag with various items including several needles. They also found several needles throughout the vehicle and a handful of them in a plastic cooler and a bag of suspected drugs which Gallimore told officers was meth. Gallimore was found to have five open suspensions on his driver’s license and the vehicle had plates which expired in November of 2025. All drug paraphernalia and suspected drugs was taken as evidence with future charges pending lab results. Gallimore was issued citations for driving with a suspended license and expired plates before being transported to jail with a next day court date for his traffic violations.
— Ayson Moody, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for driving under suspension during a March 26 traffic stop on Westfield Road. A licensed driver came for the vehicle.
St. Clair Township
— Leiann Stidd, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for driving under suspension during a March 18 traffic stop on Calcutta Smith Ferry Road.
— An officers spoke with a male and female who wanted to file a report about a truck hitting their mirror on March 18 on state Route 170, the two decided against the report when realizing filing a claim would make their insurance increase.
— A driver was issued a verbal warning for no license plate during a March 18 traffic stop on state Route 11.
— A driver was issued a verbal warning for speed during a March 19 traffic stop on Calcutta Smith Ferry Road.
— A driver was issued a verbal warning for not having a license plate light during a March 19 traffic stop on St. Clair Avenue.
— Austin Kelly, age and address not provided, was issued a citation for speed during a March 19 traffic stop on St. Clair Avenue.
— A driver was issued a verbal warning for making an improper turn during a March 19 traffic stop on state Route 170.
— A verbal warning was issued to a driver for having a headlight out during a March 19 traffic stop on Calcutta Smith Ferry Road.
Leetonia
— An officer responded at 7:13 p.m. March 29 to the area of Family Dollar, where a car part in the middle of the roadway was removed as a traffic hazard.
— Harassment was reported at 6:10 p.m. March 29 in the Lisbon and State streets by a passerby. The alleged victim claimed the juveniles who were playing basketball yelled racial slur at him, which the juveniles denied instead saying they yelled “Fords suck.” Hours later, the same officer would respond to the location again to investigate a fight and would tell them to leave the area.
— Police responded at 4:04 p.m. March 30 to the 200 block of Ridge Street to investigate a domestic in progress between a woman and her daughter. Apologies were exchanged and the officer cleared, after the exchange was relayed as just verbal in nature.
— An officer investigated a juvenile complaint at 5:49 p.m. March 26 on the100 block of Main Street, where a witness reported that one juvenile was shooting at another with a BB gun. Upon investigation, it was revealed to be a battery powered toy gun that shoots polymer beads not a BBs.
— Officers conducted a search 10:37 p.m.. March 28 in the 300 block of Waddell Street, where they recovered prescription packets of different anxiety, sleeping and stress medication from a backyard shed after a traffic stop. A day later, a residence of this address notified police that someone had opened an account with Verizon in her name and racked up more than $5,000 in charges, learning about it when she received the bill in the mail. She was advised to put a credit freeze on her account.
— Brandon Crisp, no address listed, was cited at 9:08 p.m. March 28 for driving under suspension, after a routine traffic stop in the area of State and Lisbon streets.
— Norfolk Southern was notified at 2:09 a.m. March 28 of issues with the crossing gates in the area of Chestnut and Hazel streets.
Perry Township
— Officers on patrol in the 1900 block of Depot Road at 2:24 a.m. Sunday conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle failing to maintain its lane. The driver, Jeffrey Clark, 63, Salem, to be operating a motor vehicle impaired and he was cited for OVI and the marked lanes violation.
— Officers responded to the 1200 block of West Perry Street at 1:55 a.m. Sunday for a report of a possible stolen vehicle. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle, but it was located by Salem officers in the city later that night.
— Officers responded to the 1700 block of Ansley Way at 1:43 a.m. Sunday for a report of juveniles ringing the doorbell of a home multiple times during the night. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate them.
— Officers on patrol in the 1500 block of Depot Road at 1:12 a.m. Sunday for a report of a suspicious man near a home under construction. The man left the area and entered his home down the road.
— Officers responded to U.S. Route 62 at 9:27 p.m. Saturday for a report of a missing man driving with dementia. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
