Sheriff’s Office
— A deputy responded to the 33000 block of Votaw Boulevard in Hanover Township at 5:15 p.m. Sunday for a report of a possible stolen license plate. Officers spoke with the caller and advised them how to proceed and that a report would be on file.
— Deputies responded to a business in the 7600 block of state Route 45 in Center Township at 8:02 p.m. Friday for a report of suspicious activity. The caller advised they had received a phone call from someone falsely claiming to be the owner and asking how much money was in the drawer and how much money they have access to.
— A business in the 1600 block of Columbiana Lisbon Road in Fairfield Township requested a report on file that juveniles were trespassing on the property and that they would be posting no trespassing signs at 7:08 p.m. Saturday.
— A deputy took a report of menacing at the Wellsville Police Department at 11:23 p.m. Friday for a report of menacing. The deputy spoke with the involved parties and advised them how to proceed.
— Deputies responded to the 23000 block of state Route 30 in West Township at 10:54 p.m. Friday for a report of domestic violence. Both parties signed a refusal.
— Deputies responded to the 42000 block of Crestview Road in West Township at 8:13 p.m. Friday for a report of domestic violence. Both parties signed a refusal
— A breaking and entering was reported in the 4000 block of South 12th Street in Knox Township at 4:46 p.m. Friday.
— Deputies took a report of trespassing at 3:44 p.m. Friday. The caller advised that people were trespassing on a Unity Township property he owns on Bye Road.
— A deputy spoke to person by phone at 1:45 p.m. Friday for a report of menacing. The deputy advised them how to proceed.
— Deputies responded to the area of U.S. Route 62 and Case Road at 3:23 a.m. Friday for a reported suspicious person sitting on an ATV and not moving for traffic. Deputies checked the area but were unable to locate the man in question.
— Deputies responded to the 3300 block of state Route 45 at 12:50 a.m. Friday for a reported fight. Officers spoke with both parties, who refused to cooperate, and both signed refusals.
— A deputy responded to the 50000 block of Front Street in Middleton Township at 10:51 p.m. Thursday for a medical call. The person in question advised he was fine and did not need any help. The deputy advised them that a report would be on file.
— A deputy responded to the 2400 block of state Route 45 in Salem Township at 5:10 p.m. Thursday for a wellness check. The deputy spoke with the people in question, and one advised that they were having chest pains and needed an ambulance. EMT responded and checked on them, but they ultimately signed a medical refusal.
Salem
— Officers responded to the 400 block of Franklin Avenue at 11:10 a.m. Sunday for a report of recovered property. The caller advised that they found a magazine for a handgun in the alleyway. Officers located the item and took it back to the police department and placed it in the lost and found.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of East Perry Street at 10:52 a.m. Sunday for a speak with officer report. The caller had questions about the neighbor’s property markers. The caller was advised that the zoning department would be made aware of the complaint.
— Officers responded to the 1300 block of East State Street at 8:14 a.m. Sunday for a report of criminal damage to a vehicle. The caller advised that someone had slashed the rear tires on her vehicle. Officers advised them of the options for dealing with the situation.
— Officers on patrol in the area of North Lincoln Avenue at 1:23 a.m. Sunday observed a vehicle in a parking lot with its lights off. Officers spoke with the occupants who advised that they were just talking before being dropped off.
— Officers responded to Waterworth Memorial Park at 11:01 p.m. Sunday for a reported suspicious person. Officers spoke with two men who advised they were using the outdoor workout facilities in the park. They were advised of the park hours and left without incident.
— Officers responded to the 400 block of Continental Drive at 6:42 p.m. Sunday for a report of theft. The caller advised that cologne had been stolen from inside of their vehicle and requested an extra watch in the area.
— Officers responded to the 300 block of Newgarden Avenue at 3:15 p.m. Sunday for a reported suspicious person. The caller advised that multiple people were banging on his door and refused to leave. When officers arrived, the people in question had already left the area, and officers advised the caller to call back if they returned.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 3:03 p.m. Sunday for a reported warrant check. Officers spoke with the person in question Nathaniel Brendlinger, 20, Salem, and took him into custody and transported him to the Columbiana County Jail.
— Elizabeth Stamp, Lisbon, was cited for hit and skip and assured clear distance ahead after their vehicle struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Alias Reno, Salem, in the area of North Madison Avenue and Bentley Drive at 12:50 p.m. Sunday.
— Officers responded to the 2300 block of East State Street for a wellness check. Officers spoke with the person in question, who was just sleeping and was sent on his way.
Perry Township
— Officers responded to the area of Stewart Road at 6:24 p.m. Thursday for a reported reckless driver. Officers checked the area and located two vehicles matching the description given. Both were parked and unoccupied.
— Officers responded to the 1200 block of West State Street at 5:14 p.m. Thursday for a report of two dogs running loose on the caller’s property. Officers spoke with the owner of the dogs, who was searching for them and took them home.
— Officers responded to the 1800 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 6:15 a.m. Thursday to follow up on a reported assault. –Officers on patrol in the 1900 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 3:11 a.m. Thursday observed a suspicious vehicle at a closed business. Officers found the vehicle unoccupied and secure.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of Heritage Lane at 11:05 a.m. March 25 for a report of theft. The caller advised that they had received unauthorized credit card charges on their account and that they had already reported the incident to the bank. The matter is under investigation.
— Officers responded to the 1100 block of Liberty Street at 4:04 p.m. March 24 to assist a resident with a dog that had its paw pierced by a metal cage. The caller advised that she was unable to remove the wire and free the dog. Officers were able to free the dog’s paw, and no further injuries were observed.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of Stewart Road at 4:07 p.m. on March 22 for a report of possible breaking and entering. The caller advised that items had been moved and gone through, and officers are gathering additional information.
— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Stewart Road at 2:22 p.m. on March 22 for a report of possible fraud. The caller advised that their checking and debit cards had been declined at a store and that when they contacted the company, the cards had been deactivated. Officers advised them that a report would be completed.
