Perry Township
— Officers responded to the area of Prospect Street and Georgetown Road at 8:10 p.m. Sunday for a report of a person walking in the street going through emotional distress. Officers spoke with a resident in the 1100 block of Prospect Street where the person was last seen, who advised she was in good health.
— Officers responded to the 2000 block of Monroe Street for a reported assault at 1:21 a.m. Saturday. Officers spoke with both parties and the incident remains under investigation.
— Officers responded to the 1400 block of Garfield Avenue at 7:50 p.m. Friday for a juvenile complaint. The caller advised that a group of kids had ridden their bicycles through his yard and left trash in his yard. Officers took a report.
— Officers responded to the area of North Ellsworth Avenue at 11:34 p.m. Thursday for a reported reckless driver. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and the driver advised they were lost, and officers observed no signs of impairment and assisted the driver with directions.
— Officers responded to the 1100 block of North Howard Avenue at 11:03 p.m. Thursday to assist Salem officers with a report of shots heard in the area. Officers assisted until no longer needed.
— Ashley Phillips, 35, Redford, Michigan, was cited for failure to control after his vehicle became stuck while attempting to turn around, blocking the roadway at 3:50 p.m. June 5.
— Officers responded with the fire department to the 1000 block of Georgetown Road at 9:19 p.m. June 4 for a burning complaint. The resident was improperly burning trash in an open fire pit in the backyard. Firefighters explained burning laws to the resident.
— Officers responded to the 1800 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 7:27 p.m. June 4 for a report of illegal dumping. The caller advised that a truck with a dump trailer had discarded a large amount of brush and tree debris on his property.
— Heather Myers, 28, Beloit, was cited for driving under suspension, reasonable control, and OVI after her westbound vehicle on the 1400 block of Georgetown Road went off the left side of the roadway, struck a boulder and rolled over, landing upright at 6:12 a.m. June 4. Myers sustained multiple injuries but refused treatment from EMT.
— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Depot Road at 8:08 p.m. June 3 for a reported neighbor complaint. The caller advised that a man had walked past his residence and was yelling at him. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the person.
— Officers responded to the 300 block of West Pine Lake Road at 3:17 p.m. June 3 for a wellness check. Officers found the resident had suffered a medical emergency and contacted EMTs. The fire department and EMT responded and transported the resident to Mercy Health Youngstown.
— Officers responded to the 1700 block of Harding Avenue at 2:53 p.m. June 3 for reports of a neighbor mocking the caller. Officers spoke to both parties and determined the matter to be civil in nature.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of Brittany Lane at 9:46 p.m. June 1 for a report of someone setting off fireworks. Officers patrolled the area and talked to several residents but were unable to locate the source of the fireworks.
