— Officers spoke to a person at the police department at 10:44 a.m. Tuesday regarding a possible scam. The caller advised that he received a call from someone who claimed to be with the DEA. The person advised the caller that drugs were found in Florida and an arrest warrant was going to be issued for the caller if they did not co-operate. Officers advised the caller that it was a scam and to monitor his bank accounts since they had his personal information.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of Columbia Street at 8:39 a.m. Tuesday for a reported suspicious person. The man in question was found to be passed out on the sidewalk and highly intoxicated. The fire department and EMT arrived, and the person was transported to the Salem Regional Medical Center by EMT.
— Officers and K-9 Argo responded to the high school at 7:13 p.m. to conduct a sniff on the band students’ bags prior to departing for a school trip. No narcotic indicators were detected.
— Officers responded to the 500 block of Bank Street at 7 p.m. Wednesday for a reported juvenile complaint. The caller advised that the juvenile involved came onto his property and took multiple tools, and he just wanted the property back. Officers spoke with the juvenile and parent, and the property was returned to the owner. The juvenile was trespassed from the caller’s property.
— Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 5:58 p.m. Wednesday for a reported theft. The woman advised that she had a picnic table and chair stolen from the rear of her residence, and noticed it was missing a few days ago, and was unsure of what day it was taken. The caller also gave a description of the items and officers advised she would be notified if they were located.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 5:04 p.m. Wednesday to assist the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force with a man attempting to solicit a female. The man, James O’Neil, Waynesburg, was processed and transported to the Columbiana County Jail, and cited for failure to reinstate a driver’s license.
— Officers responded to the 600 block of Prospect Street at 4:41 p.m. Wednesday for a wellness check. Officers were unable to speak with the person in question, and another person on scene advised they didn’t know where the person could be. Officers advised them that if they have contact with the person to advised them to contact the police department.
— Officers spoke to a person by phone at 4:26 p.m. Wednesday regarding concerns about a family member and children living at a residence. Officers advised the caller that they would complete a wellness check on the caller.
— Officers responded to the 2200 block of East State Street at 2:51 p.m. Wednesday to check for a possibly impaired driver. A vehicle description and plate were provided; however, the vehicle was not observed on the length of the street. Several side streets were also checked prior, but the vehicle was not observed.
— Officers spoke with a resident at the police department at 1:40 p.m. Wednesday regarding a city residence where future problems could occur.
— Officers spoke with a person at the police department at 11:29 a.m. Wednesday regarding their immigration status. Due to a language barrier a translator was contacted, and the individual was advised of his options.
— Officers spoke to a caller by phone at 9:13 a.m. Wednesday regarding questions about a family situation. Officers advised the caller of their options.
— Officers responded to the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue at 9:17 p.m. Thursday for a report of criminal trespass. The caller advised that an ex-boyfriend has continued to come on her property and want them to be trespassed. Officers spoke with the ex and served a criminal trespass form.
— Officers responded to the 200 block of Brooklyn Avenue at 8:11 p.m. Thursday for a report of criminal trespass. The caller advised their ex-husband kept coming onto their property and they wanted them to be trespassed. Officers spoke with the man and served him with a criminal trespass form.
— Officers responded to the area of North Ellsworth Avenue and East Sixth Street at 7:48 p.m. Thursday. The caller advised multiple people were seen throwing rocks at vehicles, with no damage done to the vehicles. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the people.
— Officers responded to the 1200 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 6:09 p.m. Thursday for a wellness check on a man reportedly stumbling down the sidewalk. Officers spoke with the man finding him to have an altered mental status and unable to stand up straight. The fire department and EMT responded and transported the man to the East Liverpool Community Hospital.
— Officers responded to the 700 block of West Wilson Street at 5:05 p.m. Thursday for a reported speak with officer complaint. Officers were advised that the caller’s neighbor has a water spigot which has been leaking for the last two months and caused the caller’s yard to flood. Officers advised the call the matter was civil, and photographs were obtained.
— Officers responded to the area of South Madison Avenue and Maple Street at 4:58 p.m. Thursday for a wellness check on a person walking in the area that was reported to have recently checked out of the hospital. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate them; however, a second call was received, and officers located the man near Morris Avenue and spoke with him. The man advised he was fine and was trying to get back to Lisbon. Officers asked the individual if there was someone they could call to pick him up and he advised there was not.
— Officers responded to the 400 block of East Fourth Street at 2:47 p.m. Thursday for a reported neighbor dispute. The caller advised their neighbor is feeding stray cats and leaving empty containers on other people’s property. Officers attempted to speak with the neighbor, but the caller advised they left prior to officers’ arrival. Officers advised the caller to contact them when the neighbor returns.
