— While on patrol in the area of Oak Street and South Union Avenue at 12:11 a.m. Wednesday officers observed a vehicle improperly use a turn signal while turning. Officers conducted a traffic stop, and the driver, Kimberly Jackson, advised she did not have a license. Officers checked through LEADS and confirmed Jackson had a license suspension, and cited Jackson for driving under suspension, and conducted an inventory search of the vehicle before having the vehicle towed by Sinsley Towing.
— Officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of Woodland Avenue at 11:28 p.m. Tuesday for reports of a suspicious noise. Officers checked the area finding everything to be normal and advised the home owner and advised them to contact the police if any further issues arise.
— Officers standing outside the police department at 10:11 p.m. Tuesday officers heard what sounded like gunshots in the area of West Wilson Street and Sharp Avenue. Officers searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the source of the noise.
— Officers received a report at the police station at 8:59 p.m. Tuesday in relation to a possible assault that occurred in the 2500 block of Bentley Drive. Officers collected information and advised the matter is under investigation.
— Officers spoke with a man at the police department at 3:42 p.m. Tuesday for a stolen bicycle report. The man advised that his bicycle was on his front porch and recently was stolen, and that he had just obtained the bicycle from the police department a short time ago as it was stolen before. The man was provided a report number.
— Officers responded to a residence in the 600 block of Prospect Street at 3:47 p.m. Tuesday for a wellness check. Officers were unable to contact them.
— Officers spoke to a woman at the police department at 2:13 p.m. Tuesday for a report of an assault. The woman stated she was helping someone work on her scooter when they became upset and threw zip ties at her, causing her to quickly move out of the way, and she has not felt right since. She wanted the incident documented and she had already advised her complex managers.
— Officers responded to the 900 block of Homewood Circle at 1:48 p.m. for a dog at large. Officers observed the dog on the property of the alleged owner and spoke to a woman at the residence who advised that her daughter had recently found the dog after it followed her home from school. She advised it had no collar and she was waiting for a return call from Angels for Animals as she can’t have two dogs. The woman was provided with options.
— Officers responded to a residence in the 500 block of Deming Street at 12:21 p.m. Tuesday to speak to a man and have him contact the Warren Police Department. Officers were advised by a neighbor the man has not lived at the residence for about a year.
— Officers responded to a business in the 1000 block of West State Street at 9:40 a.m. for a shoplifter complaint. Officers were advised a man had left the store, passing all point of sale, with unpaid items in his cart and had left in a blue Impala.
