— Officers responded to the 700 block of Cunningham Road at 4:28 a.m. Sunday to assist Perry Township police search the area for possible shots fired. Officers spoke with the complainant who said he hear possible gunshots and yelled at the people to go inside. He said they yelled back that they were on private property. Officers checked the area but could not find anyone.

— Officers responded to the 2300 block of Kennedy Drive at 3:57 a.m. Sunday in reference to possible shots fired. Officers checked the area but found nothing suspicious. Officers cleared the call but remained in the area.

— Officers responded to a 500 block South Broadway Avenue home at 1:49 a.m. Sunday where an employee reported a man was refusing to leave. The man was identified and sent on his way without incident.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Bank Street at 12:11 a.m. Sunday where the caller reported threats had been made and he had a recording of it. Officers determined no threats had been made.

— An East Perry Street resident reported at 10:12 p.m. Saturday his daughter is not returning home when supposed to and is acting out while at the home. The resident was told how to file unruly juvenile charges.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Bank Street at 10:22 p.m. Saturday in reference to a domestic dispute and found it to be verbal. Both people involved were told to stop arguing and stay away from each other.

— Officers responded to the 2300 block of East State Street at 9:54 p.m. Saturday in reference to a possibly intoxicated person. The person was found in the area of East Third Street near Brooklyn Avenue and found to be highly intoxicated and needing a ride home. The person called his mother who picked him up.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of Ohio Avenue at 9:09 p.m. Saturday in reference to a dispute and found a verbal altercation over a cell phone that was given as a present. All involved were told it was a civil matter.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 9:11 p.m. Saturday in reference to a resident yelling for help. Officers spoke with an elderly woman inside her residence and she said she was fine and no longer needed help.

— An officer responded to the 2200 block of Monroe Street at 8:59 p.m. Saturday where a 14-year-old female juvenile reported a known woman assaulted her at the home by slapping her on the right side of the face, punching her on the left side of the face then choking her, all in regard to accusations the victim said are untrue. The incident was sent to the prosecutor’s office for review of assault charges.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Rose Avenue at 8:45 p.m. Saturday where a woman reported a physical altercation had occurred outside the city. She said the person had made threats toward her and she showed officers a video of the argument. The matter was forwarded to the prosecutor’s office and the woman left the home for the night.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of East Third Street at 8:30 p.m. Saturday in reference to an intoxicated woman on the ground. Officers found the woman on the ground and medical personnel was requested to evaluate her. The woman was assisted to her feet and vomited. She was ultimately transported to the Salem hospital for further evaluation.

— Officers responded to the area of the 500 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 7:39 p.m. Saturday in reference to a domestic between a man and woman on the sidewalk. Both of them said nothing physical occurred and they were only having a verbal dispute. They both wanted to leave the area together and were sent on their way.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of Fair Avenue at 7:23 p.m. Saturday in reference to a domestic dispute. Both people involved said they were just talking loudly and there were no signs of anything physical.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of North Broadway Avenue at 3:28 p.m. Saturday in reference to a neighbor dispute. Officers spoke to the person in question and advised him of the noise complaint. He said he has been having issues with the complainant but would try to work it out. The complainant was told the neighbor is willing to be civil in the future.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of Woodland Avenue at 3 p.m. Saturday in reference to an intoxicated person arguing with family members. Officers determined nothing physical had taken place and everyone involved were told to stay away from each other.

— An officer responded to the 1000 block of East Pershing Street at 2:55 p.m. Saturday where a caller reported finding the right rear window of her vehicle shattered sometime after 7:30 a.m. that morning.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of North Broadway Avenue at 1:58 p.m. Saturday where a resident reported a neighbor being loud at all times of the day. Officers spoke with the neighbor who said he would stop being loud.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 1:56 p.m. Saturday in reference to a disorderly person. Officers spoke with the person in question and warned him for disorderly conduct.

— Deanna D. Moschella, 42, no permanent address, was charged with theft and receiving stolen property after a patrolling officer at 11:44 a.m. Saturday observed her walking in the 500 block of East Pershing Street and knew her to have the pending charges.

— Police responded to the 200 block of West Eighth Street at 10:49 a.m. Saturday where a resident reported ongoing issues with a neighbor who had come on her property that day, leading to a verbal altercation. Officers spoke with the neighbor who admitted some wrongdoing, but said the complainant also comes onto their property and bothers them. All individuals involved were told to stay on their own property and call police if anything illegal occurs.

— Officers responded to the area of South Lincoln Avenue and Southeast Boulevard at 10:47 a.m. Saturday in reference to a suspicious woman walking around with a shirt on her head and no shoes. Officers were unable to find the woman.

– Officers responded to the 200 block of Vine Avenue at 5:50 a.m. Saturday in reference to suspicious activity in which the resident said it sounded like someone was in her basement. Officers checked the home, finding no one inside.

– Daniel J. Blough, 26, Homewood Avenue, Salem, was charged with disorderly conduct after officers spoke with him and another person at the station and found them to be intoxicated. The other person needed medical attention and was transported to the Salem hospital. Blough refused to call for a ride and insisted on walking home, despite being told not to due his intoxication level.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of Jennings Avenue at 1:35 a.m. Saturday where a resident reported her juvenile daughter had made suicidal remarks. The daughter admitted to making the threats and was transported to the Salem hospital for evaluation.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of Fair Avenue at 12:59 a.m. Saturday in reference to a domestic and could hear yelling coming from the downstairs apartment. Both people involved said it was a verbal dispute regarding personal issues.

— A motorist reported at 12:17 a.m. Saturday finding food smeared on his vehicle while it was parked in the 400 block of Reilly Avenue, then found a paint chip on the rear passenger door when he was the car wash.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Franklin Street at 10:59 p.m. Friday where the parents of a juvenile said the juvenile had not come home after spending the day with a friend. They said it was not the first time he had run away. Officers checked the areas that he might be without finding him.

— Officers searched the 1400 block of Southeast Boulevard at 8:45 p.m. Friday in reference to juveniles messing around with items that belonged to a construction company. Officers did not find anyone in the surrounding area.

— An officer responded to the 600 block of Olive Street at 7:29 p.m. Friday where a caller reported finding a man sleeping in his truck. The caller said he was unsure if the man was breathing. The man was found to just be sleeping and did not need any medical assistance.

— Officers responded with medical personnel to the 900 block of Homewood Avenue at 6:47 p.m. Friday and stood by while the patient was evaluated. The man was ultimately transported to the Salem hospital.

— An officer responded to the 600 block of East State Street at 6:52 p.m. Friday to meet with fire department personnel who were assisting a pedestrian who had been struck in the head by a piece of falling building from the former Endres Gross building. The pedestrian refused transport to the hospital. The area was taped off and the traffic and safety division was notified to place barricades on the sidewalk. Proper authorities were notified for further inspection of the building.

— An officer assisted Perry Township police in the 1200 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 5:22 p.m. Friday, providing traffic control while they handled a car versus pedestrian accident.

— An officer responded with the fire department to the 500 block of East State Street at 4:54 p.m. Friday in reference to a dumpster fire in the alley. The officer stood by until no longer needed.

— A Granite Street resident reported at 4:35 p.m. Friday she had made an agreement with her ex to pick up their daughter’s medication, but that she had not been able to make contact with the ex to get the medication. She was given information regarding filing for a protection order.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of East Sixth Street at 2:55 p.m. Friday where the owner of a property wanted a known man lying against a tree be removed. An investigation found the man in question has been legally residing at an apartment on the property and the owner would have to pursue the eviction process.

— A caller reported at 2:20 p.m. Friday he received a notice on his phone about his Huntington Bank account, but that he does not have an account with bank. He said he believes it to be a scam.

— An officer responded to the 600 block of East Sixth Street at 12:20 p.m. Friday where a resident reported finding nails near the tires on her vehicle and she believed they were placed there on purpose to damage the tires. The officer said there would be extra patrols of the area.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Continental Drive at 8:47 a.m. Friday after a caller reported a security camera in a home was moved and there was possibly someone inside the home. Officers found the home secure and no one there.

— Officers responded to the area of Penn Avenue at 6:47 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a man and woman yelling. Officers checked the area but were unable to hear a disturbance.

— Officers responded the 500 block of East Fourth Street at 6:23 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a possible domestic and learned that it was a verbal between the resident’s daughter and boyfriend earlier in the day. The boyfriend was not at home when officers arrived, but returned during the investigation and had to be separated from the complainant. When the complainant left, the boyfriend told officers she pushed him and he wanted to press charges. The matter was sent to the prosecutor’s office for review.

— Officers responded to the area of West 9th Street and Jennings Avenue at 6:19 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a woman going through the trash. The woman was advised of the complaint and told to move along.

— An Akron resident reported at 5:39 p.m. Tuesday he stored a vehicle in an acquaintance’s garage in the 1000 block of Cleveland Street 18 years ago, but found it missing when he went to the property this day. He said he last saw the vehicle in April 2021 when he was mowing grass at the property. An officer spoke with the property owner who admitted knowing the complainant but denied knowing the whereabouts of the vehicle. The officer also spoke with an upstairs tenant who said he moved in March 2020 and there was no vehicle in the garage at that time. The complainant was told to provide the vehicle’s VIN number as soon as possible.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of East 10th Street at 5:02 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a dispute in a parking lot in which an unwanted man came onto the property causing issues regarding missing items. After officers spoke with both people involved, the person in question was told to leave the property. The man went to the station to file paper work regarding his personal property.

— A woman reported at 3:59 p.m. Tuesday she took her engagement ring off at the sink while at work in the 800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue and when she returned to the restroom the ring was gone.

— A debit card found in the road on East Third Street was placed in the police lost and found at 3:34 a.m. Thursday.

— Police made contact with a suspicious vehicle and two people in Centennial Park at 1:21 a.m. Thursday, telling them the park hours. They were unaware and said they would leave.
