East Liverpool receives $2.2 million in loans for water and wastewater

EAST LIVERPOOL – The City of East Liverpool has been approved for two loans with a combined total of more than $2.2 million from the Ohio Development Authority which will go toward reviews and engineer plans to improve the city’s drinking and wastewater infrastructures. The first loan for $772,000 is for five years at 4.5% apr that will be used for the preliminary engineering report for the evaluation of alternatives to address the issues in the aging water system. Salem Walking Tour to highlight abolitionist history, Teach Truth Day of Action

SALEM — On Saturday, community members are invited to explore Salem’s lesser-known history through a guided walking tour highlighting the town’s role in the abolitionist movement. The event will begin at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church on Second Street.
