Information released regarding connection to Elkton sewer extension

LISBON — The sewer bill for customers of the recently finished Elkton sanitary sewer extension project will be $8.64 per 1,000 gallons of water used per month, with the rate increasing in July 2027 to $9.07 per 1,000 gallons of water used per month. Columbiana County Chief Deputy Sanitary Engineer Troy Graft shared a copy of the letter sent out to customers with commissioners on Wednesday, detailing the sewer rates, how to hook in and the fact that the water usage for the new water line will fall under the Buckeye Water District, which will bill customers for water service. Sheriff’s Office — Deputies were dispatched at 1:25 a.m. Friday to Cream Ridge Road, Elkrun Township, for report of suspicious activity. Deputies met with the caller and walked the property with the caller and didn’t find anything out of the ordinary. — A runaway juvenile was reported at 10:33 p.m. Sept. 24 at Harvey Avenue, Center Township. A deputy spoke to the juvenile’s parents, advised of places the juvenile might be and asked Lisbon Police to check them.
