LISBON — Bids opened last week for the East Palestine train depot renovation all came in higher than the architect’s estimated cost, with Dynamic Structures of New Waterford submitting the lowest bid at $889,546. Columbiana County commissioners opened the bids last Wednesday, with part of the funding coming from a $250,000 state grant from the Target of Opportunity Program Community Development Block Grant through the Ohio Department of Development. Salem set to receive $600K from state for Lincoln Plaza expansion

SALEM — The city of Salem is set to receive $600,000 in state funding for expansions to Lincoln Plaza. Ohio Sen. Al Cutrona, R-Canfield, announced Thursday that Lincoln Plaza was included in the list of projects in Columbiana, Mahoning and Carroll counties slated to collectively receive $8.5 million through the state capital budget as passed by the Ohio Senate.
