LISBON — Advanced Rehabilitation Technology submitted the lone bid for phase 1 of the Dresden Avenue manhole rehabilitation and replacement project. The Ohio company headquartered in Bryan sent a bid of $408,525. The deadline for submitting bids was 9 a.m. Wednesday, with the only bid received opened at the Columbiana County Engineer’s Office. United Local buildings and grounds supervisor considering retirement

HANOVERTON — The United Local School District may need to find a replacement for its buildings and grounds supervisor. Current Supervisor Tom Clemens told the board of education earlier this month that he is considering retirement, according to minutes of the Aug. 7 meeting. He also said the board should re-evaluate the position and clearly define the responsibilities related to the role, and that the district should consider having a supervisor for the second shift. LISBON — The woman accused of threatening to blow up the Leetonia K-12 school in January must serve three days in jail, 15 days house arrest and pay a $1,000 fine plus other costs for an amended charge of inducing panic. (WKBN) — A now-former sergeant with the Alliance Police Department has resigned after being placed on unpaid leave last month amid criminal allegations. Sebring man facing child sex abuse material charges

GOSHEN TWP. (WKBN) — A Sebring man is facing 15 felony charges following an investigation into child sex abuse materials. A news release from the Goshen Police Department states that the department received a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children division of the Cuyahoga County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office that a Goshen Township resident had been uploading child sex abuse material.
