State report cards released for 2-25-2026 school year

The Ohio Department of Education released its 2025-2026 School Report Cards on Tuesday. Districts and schools receive overall ratings of 1-5 stars in half-star increments. A three-star rating meets state standards, a five significantly exceeds them, and a one “needs significant support to meet state standards.” Districts are also rated on six components: achievement, progress, gap closing, early literacy, graduation, and college, career, workforce, military readiness. LISBON — The paving of state Route 164 in downtown Lisbon isn’t scheduled to happen now until Thursday night into Friday morning, dependent on the weather. Planned power outages scheduled in Salem

SALEM — Some city residents will experience scheduled power outages while Ohio Edison conducts system maintenance. Three planned power outages are slated to occur tonight, Thursday and Sunday, weather permitting, while Ohio Edison conducts work to improve system reliability.
