Day of Prayer breakfast held at community center
Reverend Mike Direnzo, speaker, for the National Day of Prayer Community Breakfast at the East Liverpool Area Community Center shared the message “God is on the Move.”
EAST LIVERPOOL — Ministers from multiple area churches joined with community members on Thursday at the East Liverpool Area Community Center for breakfast and prayer to celebrate National Day of Prayer.
Reverends Mike Dyer, Larry Rose, Ian Leyda, Rick Anderson, Bill Barlow, CeCe Douglas and Ernest Peachey all contributed to the prayer service with prayers focused on the world, the nation, the Tri-State community, military and first responders, and the youth.
Dyer gave the welcoming and opening prayer, which was followed by a Presentation of Colors by the Tri-State Burial Group while the “Star-Spangled Banner” played.
Reverend Mike Direnzo, who was introduced as the speaker for the service by Jim Lewis, delivered the message that “God is on the Move.”
Marla Miller sang “I Bow on My Knees” and “Broken People Like Me” during the prayer service.
Gini Jackson delivered closing remarks, and the closing prayer was given by Peachey.
