Beavers in OVAC final

Beaver Local 4, Oak Glen 2 CALCUTTA — Beaver Local’s softball team set itself for another title on Tuesday. The top-seeded Beavers got 11 hits to subdue defending OVAC Class 4A softball champion Oak Glen, 4-2, at the I-470 Complex. Beaver Local is 19-3 overall and has won six straight. The Buckeye 8 champions will meet Weir in the Class 4A final on Saturday at the I-470 Complex. Weir beat Edison 9-1 in the other semifinal. Beaver Local has not faced Weir High this season.
