NEW MIDDLETOWN — Five area athletes won individual events at the Springfield Division V regional track and field meet Saturday. Heartland Christian sophomore Claire Liposky, Lisbon sophomore Brooklynn Klein, Leetonia sophomore Graydon Henderson and East Palestine junior RJ May all had personal bests to win their events. ST. CLAIRSVILLE — East Liverpool senior Maddox Roach and Beaver Local junior Landon Wheatley are trying to stand on the podium at the state track and field meet again this year. AKRON — Heartland Christian junior Cooper Grim is headed back to the Div. II state singles tournament for a third time. Grim knocked off two of his opponents on Friday at the Div. II district tournament on Friday at the Springside Athletic Club. The district tournament qualifies four to the state tournament set for May 28-29 at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason near Cincinnati.
