WARREN — Crestview senior and Fairfield University recruit Addison Rhodes set the school record for points in a game with 46 in an 82-64 Rebel win on Wednesday in girls basketball action.

Chelsea Bowker held the previous mark of 44 set in the 2007-08 season.

Rhodes added 12 rebounds and four assists. Ava Bucey tallied a career high 20 points and added seven rebounds and four steals. Karli Perry had five assists.

Howland won the jayvee portion 20-15. Katie McKay had eight points for the Rebels.

The Rebels host Southeast on Monday.

ALLIANCE — Salem’s girls basketball team had no trouble with Alliance in a 61-25 win on Wednesday night in Eastern Buckeye Conference play.

Abby Knickerbocker had 22 points to spark the Quakers, 3-0. Maddy Andres added 15 points.

The Quakers held Alliance scoreless in the second quarter.

Salem will host Cardinal Mooney on Saturday.

Salem defeated Liberty in jayvee action, 46-12. Shaw Burkhart had 16 points while Ava Lee had 13 points.

BELOIT — West Branch’s girls basketball team handed Minerva a 56-21 loss on Wednesday in EBC play.

The Warriors led 18-2 after the first quarter and didn’t look back. Sammi Beatty led the Warriors with 16 points. Madi Hoopes added 11 points.

West Branch is 3-0 and hosts Boardman on Saturday.

The jayvee game was canceled.

MALVERN — Malvern posted a 44-29 win over United on Wednesday in girls basketball action.

LISBON –Lisbon was a 40-6 winner over Campbell on Wednesday in jayvee action. Sofia Brown had 17 points, seven boards and six steals for Lisbon. Delaney Pickens added 13 points, 10 rebounds and seven steals.

United 55, Urban Scholars 15

HANOVERTON — The Youngstown Urban Scholars aren’t having the best luck in its tour of Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference gyms.

United’s boys basketball team increased the EOAC’s mark to 3-0 against the Hawks with a 55-15 on Wednesday.

Lisbon beat the Hawks 86-30 and Leetonia also has a 52-21 win so far this season. The Hawks have four more games with EOAC opponents scheduled.

Jason Pratt had 19 points to lead United. Abram Ceresna added nine points for the Golden Eagles.

United (1-0) is at Columbiana on Tuesday.
