Leetonia responded on scene until Ohio State Highway Patrol did. — A female subject contacted dispatch at 3:48 p.m. Feb. 5, requesting an ambulance for a a 85-year-old man possibly having a dementia episode. Sheriff’s Office — A suspicious vehicle was reported at 5:48 a.m. Wednesday on North Pleasant Drive near Failor in Unity Township. The vehicle was found stuck in the mud off of the road. The owner arrived and said he pulled off the road to use his phone and when he tried to pull back out he was stuck and doesn’t have money for a tow truck. He was waiting for a friend to call him back or someone to stop and help him, but he’s okay. He was licensed and had no warrants. The vehicle could not be pushed out. Leetonia — A village man reported receipt of an email from Georgia alleging that he had a federal warrant from Georgia, which was confirmed fraudulent at 12:31 p.m. Jan. 30. — A village police officer was dispatched at 9:32 p.m. Jan. 31 to assist a county deputy in Washingtonville with a possible domestic. Highway Patrol — Natasha Joy, of Alliance, was not cited after a single vehicle crash at 1 .m. Jan. 29 in Fairfield Township. Joy was westbound on state Route 558 when she traveled off the road into a snowbank before overturning her vehicle. Road conditions attributed to the crash, according to investigators.
