— Officers responded to the 200 block of East State Street at 9:31 a.m. Saturday for a reported water line break. Officers located the issue, and the water department was contacted to handle the matter.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of South Broadway Avenue at 9:09 a.m. Saturday for a reported domestic in progress. Officers spoke to all parties involved, collecting statements and advising them to remain separated for the remainder of the day.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of Aetna Street at 7:51 a.m. Saturday for a reported barking dog complaint. Officers spoke with the owner who advised the dog does bark at the other dog behind her fence, but that she brought the dog inside prior to officers’ arrival.

— Officers responded to the 700 block of South Ellsworth Avenue at 11:43 p.m. Friday for a reported burglary in progress. The caller advised that a man with a black ski mask walked up to the door of a business and attempted to gain entry. Officers checked the area but nobody was located, and the business was secure.

— Officers responded to the 1400 block of Ridgewood Drive at 10:10 p.m. Friday for a request to remove a resident. Officers explained the eviction process.

— Officers responded to the entrance of Centennial Park at 7:27 p.m. Friday for a report of debris in the roadway. Loose concrete was struck by a vehicle spreading it onto the road and cones were deployed for traffic control and to block a hole in the road.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 6:15 p.m. Friday for a reported suspicious person. Officers checked the area and spoke with two people, advising them to stay away from the business.

— Officers spoke with a person at the police department at 3:54 p.m. Friday for a report of two bad checks which were given to their business for items purchased totaling $2,300. The matter is under investigation.

— Officers spoke with a person at the police department at 3:52 p.m. who advised that an unknown person had hacked their Snapchat account. Officers advised them to contact Snapchat support and report the incident.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 3:36 p.m. Friday to assist the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force with an alleged sex offense. The person involved was taken into custody and transported to the Columbiana County Jail and $94 was seized as part of the investigation.

— Officers responded to the 1200 block of Southeast Boulevard at 2:09 p.m. Friday for a parking complaint. The caller advised there were multiple cars parked on the street and in the wrong direction. Officers checked the area but did not locate any vehicle parked anywhere on the street.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of East Second Street at 12:23 p.m. Friday for a reported suspicious person. The caller advised that a man was walking and talking to himself. Officers checked the man and could not locate anyone matching the description given.

— Officers responded to the 1500 block of Quaker Lane at 12:09 p.m. Friday for a medical call. The caller advised that she had fallen down the stairs hitting her head and back on the wall and that she was home alone when she fell. She was transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital by EMT.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of Hawley Avenue at 10:53 a.m. Friday to locate a man with an active warrant out of the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office. Offices spoke with the man, Darren Vernon, 61, Salem, placing him into custody and transporting him to the Columbiana County Jail.

— The school resource officer was advised of an incident that happened with a student and their family member in Perry Township at 10:24 a.m. Friday. Perry Township officers were advised, and they responded to the school to take the report.

— Officers responded to the 1700 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 10:16 a.m. Friday for a speak with officer report. The caller advised that they had an incident with an employee “the other night” during which the employee made comments about causing physical harm to two other employees. The employee was going to be terminated that day, and the caller was officers to be aware of the situation in case they caused an incident.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of Buckeye Avenue at 8:18 a.m. Friday for a report of multiple people on the caller’s property with firearms. Officers investigated and determined there was nobody with firearms on the property and the caller was then observed to be experiencing a possible medical issue. The fire department and EMT responded, and the man was transported to a medical facility for further evaluation.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of Woodland Avenue at 6:39 a.m. Friday for a reported juvenile complaint. The caller advised that the juvenile had become physically violent with her during an altercation and following an investigation the juvenile was taken into custody for domestic violence and was transported to the Louis Tobin Juvenile Attention Center.
