— Officers responded to the 500 block of Arch Street at 6:28 p.m. Monday for a 911 hang-up call. Officers confirmed with the residents that everything was okay and no assistance was needed.

— Officers responded to the 300 block of Penn Avenue at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday for a reported medical call that had been reported via text-to-911 due to no apartment number being provided. Officers located the correct apartment and the fire department and EMT responded to treat the person.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of West Fifth Street at 4:02 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a runaway juvenile. The caller provided a possible location for the juvenile, and officers located the juvenile at the location and transported him back to his residence, releasing him to his guardian.

— Officers responded to the 600 block of Highland Avenue at 1:09 p.m. Monday for a reported alarm drop. All the doors and windows were secure. Officers spoke with the key holder who reset the alarm.

— Officers responded to the 1700 block of Oak Street at 9:53 a.m. Monday for a reported neighbor dispute. The caller advised their next-door neighbor had removed part of her concrete driveway during a remodel a few months back. Officers advised a report would be made.

— Officers responded to the 2900 block of East State Street at 1:16 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a reckless operator entering the city. Officers located the vehicle unoccupied in the parking lot of a local business. Officers checked but were unable to locate the driver.

— Officers responded to the 2400 block of Lexington Avenue at 11:41 a.m. Wednesday for a reported civil matter. The caller advised that a local business had declined to sell her merchandise. Officers advised it was a private company and could do so if they wished and the caller advised they understood.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of Vine Avenue at 11:14 a.m. Wednesday to check for a male juvenile with an active warrant. Officers spoke with an adult woman resident who advised they had not spoken with the juvenile in several months. The woman allowed officers to check the inside of her residence, but the juvenile was not located.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of Franklin Avenue at 8:29 a.m. Wednesday to assist the fire department with a structure fire. Officers provided traffic control until no longer needed.

— Officers responded to the area of Jefferson Avenue and Ridgewood at 4:57 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a possible water line break. Officers were unable to locate the break and the water department was contacted.

— Officers on patrol at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday observed a young female juvenile walking northbound in the 1100 block of North Ellsworth Avenue past curfew. Officers stopped the female who advised that she was on her way home and was given a courtesy transport to the residence she claimed she lived at. Upon arrival an 18-year-old male emerged from the residence, and it was learned that the woman did not reside there. She was taken into custody and transported to the police department where she was released to her grandfather,

— Officers on patrol in the 1000 block of Jennings Avenue observed multiple vehicles pull into the side parking lot of the First Friends Church and begin to do “donuts” on the ice. Officers stopped the vehicles by issuing a warning for reckless operation to the drivers.

— Officers responded to the area of West Sixth Street at 9:56 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a dog barking outside. Officers were unable to locate the dog.

— Officers responded to the 900 block of Jennings Avenue at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday for a reported burglary in progress. The caller advised a man was attempting to gain access to his residence through the front door. Officers located a man walking northbound on Jennings away from the locate of the residence, ordering him to stop. Officers confirmed the man was the one attempting to gain entry to the home by his clothing, a red hooded sweatshirt and blue sweatpants. However, the man was found to be heavily intoxicated and actively consuming an alcoholic beverage before officers stopped him. Officers confirmed the man, Isaac Hickman, 18, Salem, was only 18, and he was taken into custody for under-age-consumption and transported to the police department for processing and later transported to the Columbiana County jail. It was also confirmed that Hickman never actually entered the home, but was pounding on the door, and threatening the caller. Officers advised the caller of their options for pursuing the matter.

— Officers responded to the area of Southeast Boulevard and East State Street at 5:29 p.m. Tuesday for a report of a traffic signal malfunction. Officers responded to the area and observed the traffic signal to be malfunctioning and notified dispatch. The city electrician was notified and advised he would be in the area.

— Officers spoke to a woman by phone at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday who advised that she had received a phone call from a supposed law firm that had her personal information. Officers advised that a police report would be made.

— Officers responded to the 500 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 10:09 a.m. Tuesday for a reported vehicle fire. Officers provided traffic control while the fire department contained the fire.

— Officers responded to the 800 block of East Fourth Street at 9:29 a.m. Tuesday to attempt to locate several people with active warrants. Officers were unable to make contact with anyone.
