LISBON — Courtney L. Troyer, 27, Garver Road, Hanoverton, was sentenced in Common Pleas Court to seven months in prison for aggravated possession of drugs for having methamphetamine on June 19, 2018.

Alicia D. Vogt, 34, Hillcrest Road, Wellsville, stipulated to violating the terms of her community control. She will remain on community control for her permitting drug abuse conviction, but she was ordered to serve up to six months at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center. Vogt had allowed Mack Griffin to use her Wilbert Avenue, East Liverpool, home for the trafficking of various drug paraphernalia, fentanyl and cocaine.

Dwaine E. Steed, 46, First Street, Hanoverton, was found eligible for intervention in lieu of conviction. He pleaded guilty to improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle and driving while intoxicated. He was placed on a three-year intervention treatment plan for the improper handling of a firearm charge and sentenced to attend a three-day counseling program with his license suspended for a year and fined $675 for the OVI.

Todd A. Kirtley, 36, Metz Road, New Waterford, stipulated to violating the terms of his community control from a previous conviction of cultivation of marijuana, illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs and attempted illegal manufacture of drugs. Kirtley has now been sentenced to nine months in prison and credited with 51 days in jail.

David J. Melanson, 25, Akron, was placed on three years community control for receiving stolen property. In April 2015, Melanson had a pump shotgun belonging to Timothy Phillips.

Maura N. Paliani 28, Chestnut Street, Leetonia, was found eligible for intervention in lieu of conviction and pleaded guilty to both trespassing in a habitation and breaking and entering. She was placed on a three-year treatment plan. Between Oct. 8 and Oct. 11, Paliani trespassed in the home of Melissa and Troy Todd, Chestnut Street, Leetonia, with the purpose of committing a theft offense.

James M. Raneri, 55, was placed on three years community control for cultivation of marijuana for having about 1,172 grams of the substance at a Bell Road, Lisbon, property on Oct. 10, 2017. He is to serve a definite term of six months at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center.

Mark J. Posta, 41, Youngstown, was placed on four years community control for domestic violence for harming Amber Lynn Posta on Nov. 5, 2018 when he has a previous conviction in March 2018 for domestic violence.

A possession of drugs charge was dismissed against John A. Zamora, 63, East Third Street, Salem, due to his death.

WELLSVILLE — In Wellsville Magistrate Court on Thursday, Richard Heaton, 44, East Liverpool, was fined $275 for fictitious plate and no seat belt

Kevin Short, 46, Lisbon, was found guilty of driving under suspension and physical control, he was fined $400.

Pretrial was set Sept. 12 for Honda Yassin, 59, Freeland, Pa., charged with a stop sign violation.

Amber Jones, 39, 16 School Road, was found guilty of driving while license suspended, and was fined $225.

Jay Luke, 59, state Route 39, pleaded not guilty to speeding and was given a pretrial date of Sept. 12.

Joshua Robb, 30, Lisbon, was found guilty of physical control and suspended license. He was fined $325 and given a pretrial date of Sept. 12 for a drug paraphernalia charge.

Cody Wilt, 27, Aten Avenue, was fined $275 for the charge of driving while license suspended.

Christopher Steele, 32, East Liverpool, pleaded not guilty to driving while license suspended and criminal trespassing. He was given a pretrial date of Sept. 12.

Donald Vantilburg, 50, Chester, W.Va., was found guilty of physical control and was fined $200.

James Cline, 44, Commerce Street, was fined $170 for expired registration.

Patty Reed, 61, Torrence Drive, was fined $275 for driving while license suspended.

Anthony Eberhart, 31, East Liverpool, pleaded not guilty to the charge of criminal trespassing, he was given a pretrial date of Sept. 12.

Rachel Lawson, 28, Independence Square, pleaded not guilty to obstructing official business, she was given a pretrial date of Sept. 12.

Douglas Stone, 56, Center Street, was fined $225 for the charge of drug abuse.

Regina Carlisle, 38, pleaded not guilty for drug paraphernalia and was given a pretrial date of Sept. 12.

EAST LIVERPOOL — In East Liverpool Municipal Court, Seana Robinson, Wilbert Avenue, fined $130 and given 30 days in jail suspended for expired plates and obstructing official business. She also must do 40 hours of community service on litter patrol.

Hoda H. Yassin, Freeland, Pa., was fined $35 and for a red light violation.

Pretrials were Sept. 26 for Amber Jones, 16 School Road in Wellsville, charged with driving under suspension and defective exhaust; James Maxwell (aka Booker), Thompson Avenue, no license; Robert D. Buzzard, Ohio Avenue, no license and turn signal David Cole, Lisbon Street, Wellsville, drug abuse instruments; and Candee Campbell, East Eighth Street, drug paraphernalia.

Pretrial was set Aug. 26 for Shawna Cottrill, Steubenville Pike, Hammondsville, charged with no license, left of center, driving under suspension and failure to signal.

Second arraignments were set Sept. 27 for David Coleman, Bentleyville, Pa., charge with driving under suspension; and Sept. 6 for Kyle Walker, West Fourth Street, no license and obstructed plate.

LISBON — In county Municipal Court, an Oct. 21 pretrial was set for Amanda K. Gunnoe, 40, Carbon Hill Road, East Palestine, charged with criminal damaging for allegedly using her vehicle to purposely repeatedly ram the car of her live-in boyfriend, Scott Greaves, during an argument on Wednesday.

A Sept. 3 pretrial was set for Patrick S. Murphy, 34, Clark Avenue, Wellsville, charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct for allegedly going to village hall in Wellsville highly intoxicated for mayor’s court several hours before court was in session on Aug. 8, then refusing to leave when the secretaries and police could not give him the information he wanted about his attorney.

Greg R. Roush, 45, Bye Road, East Palestine, waived his right to an extradition hearing so he can return to Pennsylvania where he has a warrant for a failure to appear charge.

An Oct. 21 pretrial was set for Raymond N. Drake, 31, Cleveland, cited with driving under FRA suspension and restricted tinted glass.

Susan I. Pritt, 35, East Sixth Street, East Liverpool, was fined $80 for speeding and a seat belt violation.

David A. Kent, 34, East Clark Street, East Palestine, was fined $75 for speeding.

An Oct. 15 pretrial was set for Dale E. Riehl, 58, Leetonia Road, Leetonia, cited with failure to register a rental unit.

An Oct. 15 pretrial was set for Aubrey R. Yeater, 45, Salem-Alliance Road, Salem, cited with driving under suspension.
