EAST LIVERPOOL — An East Liverpool firefighter was injured when falling through a floor while providing assistance to Liverpool Township firefighters at a structure fire at 1180 Forsyth Place Monday night. East Liverpool Firefighter Lt. Josh Coil was taken to the hospital by East Liverpool EMS where he was treated for minor burns and scrapes and released. EAST PALESTINE — A popular car cruise held in the village has a new name and an expanded offering of vehicles to see, including semi trucks and jeeps this year. United Local coach shares plans for team room for female athletes

HANOVERTON — A United Local High School coach has unveiled plans for a dedicated team room for girls’ athletic programs, with a separate locker room for visiting teams. Girls Basketball Coach Cory Leek presented plans to the United Local Board of Education in July and August. LISBON — Former Liverpool Township police chief Jayson Jackson waived his right to a preliminary hearing Monday, with his case for fourth-degree felony domestic violence bound over for consideration by the Columbiana County Grand Jury. Jackson, 53, Campground Road, Wellsville, appeared briefly before county Municipal Court Judge Danielle Menning for the latest case.
