Sheriff's Office
-- A deputy responded at 9:53 p.m. Aug. 13 to Old Irondale Road, Yellow Creek Township for an ATV complaint, with a resident reporting her neighbor was revving the engine to his 4-wheeler. The deputy checked the immediate and surrounding areas, but didn't find anyone or any vehicles.
-- Suspicious activity was reported at 11:03 p.m. Aug. 6 in the area of Walnut Street, Rogers where callers reported a person may be in their basement. Deputies checked the basement and immediate and surrounding areas, but didn't find anyone.
Highway Patrol
-- Jeffrey Lee Howell, 45, Buck Road, Salem, was cited for reasonable control after his westbound motorcycle overturned and traveled off of the right side of state Route 172 at 3:08 p.m. Aug. 16 in Hanover Township. He suffered suspected minor injuries, but was not transported.
Salem
-- Officers spoke with a person at the police department about a person allegedly making derogatory remarks about them at 9:24 a.m. Tuesday. Officers provided them with the options for dealing with the situation.
-- Criminal damage to a motor vehicle was reported in the 700 block of West Pershing Street at 8:57 a.m. Tuesday. The caller advised that someone unknown to them had flattened two of the tires on his truck. Officers advised them of the options for dealing with the situation.
-- A possible theft was reported in the 200 block of Continental Drive at 4:29 p.m. Monday. The caller was provided with the options for dealing with the situation.
-- A juvenile issue was reported in the 400 block of Reilly Avenue at 3:40 p.m. Monday. The caller advised that there were juveniles riding scooters on the playing field at Sebo Stadium. Officers will speak with the school resource officer to attempt to identify the juveniles.
-- A man urinating in public was reported in the 600 block of West Pershing Street at 2:22 p.m. Monday. Officers located a man matching the given description several blocks away. The man admitted to the alleged violation stating that he had an emergency due to his age. The man was advised that if he did so again, he could be cited or face criminal charges.
-- A person to be removed was reported in the 200 block of West State Street at 11:42 a.m. Monday. Officers found that the person in question had left the area. The business requested the man be trespassed and officers will attempt to advised him of the same.
-- A domestic was reported in the 400 block of Franklin Avenue at 10:28 a.m. Monday. The caller advised that he had been assaulted on Sunday. Officers documented the areas where the caller advised they had been struck and advised them that they would need to give a written statement to be sent to the prosecutor's office for review.
