Leetonia – Richard Elrod, no age or address listed, was charged with theft after officers at 6:49 p.m. Sept. 14 observed him enter a Hazel Street business knowing him to routinely steal merchandise due to having being previously employed there and knowing the security camera placement. Wellsville officials receive update on road conditions

WELLSVILLE – Village officials recently received an update on roadwork being conducted by businesses in the area. At the most recent council meeting, Mayor Bob Boley requested an update on the work being completed by Marathon and other businesses in the area, noting Marathon is spending $8 million on extra lanes and the village should be receiving a percentage of that. Police Lt. Marsha Eisenhart said Hilcorp-Harvest put two lanes in and was generating about $1 million a day and that these companies are supposed to be paying fees of one percent to the village.
