SALEM — A new group benefiting local veterans is set to hold its first meeting Wednesday. The Veterans Cafe, a new program to support area veterans, will host its first monthly meeting at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Xterra Health, located at 130 S. LISBON — The Columbiana County Engineer’s Office plans to apply for funds to repair an area along Steubenville Pike Road near Highlandtown Lake where the road’s starting to slip. “We’ve been battling it a long time,” Chief Deputy Highway Engineer Bill Helscel said. COLUMBIANA — City officials are still working on the design for the new City Hall building. During the July City Council meeting City Manager Lance Willard said they met with Strollo Architects and Howells and Baird Engineering to go over several revisions on the design. “We hope to hear back from environmental planning and design soon so we can get the new zoning district proposal on its way,” he said.
