EAST PALESTINE -- EPGO is doing it's best to ensure that the older population of the area is able to clearly see what is needed when filling out forms or reading.
The EPGO "Rescue Readers" program was recently launched at the East Palestine Library and village offices. Barb Kliner of EPGO presented village council with a basket containing a variety of reader glasses for anyone who needs them when doing such activities as paying their water bills or filling out forms.
At the library the glasses are available to help when they come in to look for books, read the newspapers or use the computers and forgot to bring their glasses. Once they have selected the correct strength, the glasses are free and theirs to keep.
EPGO's purpose is to be a resource for the over 50 years population and find activities, programs and other services to benefit the community. The group publishes a monthly newsletter informing readers about local events, informational programs, library activities and information on meals and food distributions. Copies are available in most local stores and offices along with the local library and village office.
EPGO is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
