WELLSVILLE — The Buckeye Water District (BWD) Board of Trustees recently adopted a policy for water loss due to an apparatus failure. The policy was a result of issues with the operation of the Mueller Meter Pitt Apparatus which could result in the meter registering excessive usage for water that passes through that meter and leaks on the customer side. LEETONIA — Village council approved the purchase of a new vehicle for the police department in its recent meeting. Council unanimously approved a resolution authorizing the purchase of a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado for the police department from Asia Motor Inc. Police Chief Allen Haueter said the Silverado would cost $54,000 and come fully outfitted for service.
