Night Before Christmas
The Upper Ohio Valley Museum and Learning Center is hosting the Night Before Christmas on Friday. This event will feature Beaver Local’s show choir, Rhythm in Red, at 5 p.m. along with Christmas pairings of seasonal drinks and treats. Visitors can also view over 40 decorated trees. Christmas open house
The Upper Ohio Valley Museum and Learning Center at the Lou Holtz Hall of Fame will be hosting its annual Christmas open house on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be live music, Santa Claus, cookies and a train raffle. Admission is free. For information call 330-386-5443.
United Financial Statements
The United Local School District Board of Education has completed the Fiscal Year 2025 unaudited Financial Statements according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and filed them with the Auditor of State. These reports are available for public viewing at the treasurer’s office at 8143 state Route 9, Hanoverton, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Rummage Sale
The Trinity Lutheran Church, 930 N. 12th St., Sebring, will be holding a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Friday. Bell and thimble collections, books, cookbooks, Disney things, holiday decor, Vera Bradley purses, Christmas everything, Snoopy, sports items, decks of cards collections, shoes, clothes, Longaberger, housewares, glassware, DVD’s and much more. Rabies vaccination clinic
Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield, will host a rabies vaccination clinic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13. Rabies vaccinations are required for all dogs, cats and ferrets over three months of age. Cost is $8 per shot, cash only; no appointment necessary. Bring proof of prior vaccination on or after Dec. 14, 2024 to receive the three-year booster; without proof of prior vaccination, the pet will receive a one-year vaccination only. The clinic does not include a physical examination of the pet.
Light Up Angels Dec. 19
Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Road, Canfield, will host Light Up Angels with Memories Luminary Lights at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 19. Make a $20 donation in memory of a loved one or furry friend for a luminary at Angels for Animals or www.angelsforanimals.org, or on the organization’s Facebook page, to place a donation. Refreshments will be available for a donation in Andrews Hall. Proceeds will be used to care to the animals.
A Christmas Carol: The Musical
The Squeaky Wheel Theater Company will present A Christmas Carol: The Musical, a musical adaptation of Charles Dickens’ beloved holiday classic, running Friday, Dec. 5 through Sunday, Dec. 14, at The Columbiana Arts Theater, 5 N. Main St. This production brings Dickens’ timeless tale to life through music, storytelling, and theatrical magic. Audiences will follow the transformative journey of Ebenezer Scrooge as he encounters the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come, each guiding him toward understanding, compassion, and the true meaning of the season.
Midday Cabaret – A Very Merry Cabaret
AtTheCat.com will present Midday Cabaret – A Very Merry Cabaret, a holiday musical experience on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 1 p.m. at The Columbiana Arts Theater, 5 N. Main St. This event invites audiences to step into a world filled with sparkle, song, and holiday cheer. A Very Merry Cabaret brings together a festive blend of beloved Christmas classics, soulful ballads, jazzy reimagined carols, and plenty of delightful surprises. With heartwarming stories, laughter, and a cast overflowing with talent, this cabaret promises to fill your afternoon with nostalgia, joy, and the unmistakable magic of the holidays. Adding to the excitement is special guest Drew Lawrence, the multi-platinum songwriter and co-writer of Christina Perri’s global hit “Jar of Hearts.” Lawrence will take the stage for a special performance sure to be one of the highlights of the season.
