Site plan reviews for new Sheetz property approved
COLUMBIANA — The city’s Planning Commission met Tuesday to conduct a handful of site plan reviews and a replat for the new Sheetz property near state Routes 7 and 14.
Site plan reviews were approved fo Patricia Tingle on behalf of the new Firestone Legacy and Visitors Center, which will be located at the former Regal Jewelers’ building at 246 East Park Ave.
Tingle told the four members present that her non-profit will operate out of that building as well as the Firestone cultural organization that oversees the park concerts.
The brick-and-mortar location will allow them to store tangible property such as canopies, golf carts, chairs and Gator that are used by the non-profit for their events.
She added that the building has three bays, so they have the option of renting those spaces out if need be. The groups also plan to meet at that location and set up historical exhibits.
Jodi Bucci, who runs Bucci Insurance, also spoke of her plans to operate an office in the plaza behind the Das Dutch Haus at 14895 South Ave. Suite C.
She said that her office specializes in health insurance, Marketplace for people under 65 or Medicare for older people.
The commission also heard from Cori Wade about her plans for a photography studio and event space at 16 South Main St. and Dr. Lisa Braden, who operates Blue Ribbon Chiropractic veterinary clinic, and will be leasing space within her practice to Dr. Peggy Farmer, who practices herbal medicine and acupuncture for pets.
The commission approved all four site plan reviews as well as the replat for Firestone Crossing.
The developer’s representative Lindsey Meenachan attended the meeting via Zoom and requested the lot split, which would give Sheetz two acres and the remaining balance available for further development.
The meeting then adjourned at 7:17 p.m.
