East Liverpool High School Scholar of the Month

EAST LIVERPOOL — East Liverpool High School has named Presley Jones, a senior and member of the Class of 2026, as the May Scholar of the Month.
Presley ranks in the top 10 of her class with a 3.9 GPA and has distinguished herself as a dedicated student, leader and role model. She serves as secretary for both the Class of 2026 and SkillsUSA and is an active member of Health Careers Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Outdoor Adventure Club, and the Booster Club.
In addition to her academic achievements, Presley is deeply involved in school and community service. She has volunteered her time supporting blood drives, Bridge the Gap initiatives, elementary dances, and robotics competitions. She was also recently selected as a member of the East Liverpool High School Prom Court, highlighting her leadership and positive influence within the student body.
Presley is an accomplished student-athlete, participating in volleyball, basketball, track and softball throughout her high school career. She is a member of the National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society and has earned certifications as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Phlebotomy Technician, as well as CPR and OSHA certifications.
Presley demonstrated exceptional leadership and composure during a real-life medical emergency, where she utilized her First Aid and CPR training to provide care and direct others to call 911 and retrieve an AED. For her actions, she was recognized as an ABC 33 WYTV Hometown Hero and received the Potter Pride Award from the East Liverpool City Schools Board of Education.
Following graduation, Presley plans to continue her education by pursuing a bachelor’s and doctoral degree to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
Presley is the daughter of Brian Jones and Lindsay Cline.
