LISBON – An Alliance man was placed on community control and had his driver’s license suspended for three years for a 2022 crash in which he was intoxicated.
In Columbiana County Common Pleas Court, Richard D. Benoy, 69, Alliance, was sentenced to three years community control including 90 days of house arrest and had his driver’s license suspended for three years and sentenced to 180 days in jail with 176 days suspended and credit for one day for aggravated vehicular assault, a third-degree felony, vehicular assault, a fourth-degree felony, and misdemeanor OVI for a crash Aug. 19, 2022 in which he was intoxicated.
Also in common pleas court:
Shannon Cunning, 47, Austintown, was sentenced to 120 days in jail with 49 credited for a probation violation.
Michael S. Long, 44, East Palestine, was placed on an intervention plan for 18 months after pleading guilty to cruelty to companion animals, a fifth-degree felony, for shooting a family dog Aug. 9, 2023.
Jefferson R. Gough, 78, Hammondsville, was sentenced to 15 days in jail and fined $10,000, all suspended, and ordered to pay $500 restitution to the Environmental Protection Agency, as well as placed on three years community control for three years after pleading guilty to open dumping of solid waste, an unclassified felony for recklessly disposing of solid waste Feb. 28, 2021.
Amber L. Maraldo, 41, East Liverpool, was sentenced to three years community control after pleading guilty to attempted illegal conveyance of drugs onto grounds of a governmental facility, a fourth-degree felony, for bringing drugs onto a government detention facility Jan. 28, 2023.
Anthony E. Baker, 38, Ravenna, was sentenced to nine months in jail with 19 days credited after pleading guilty to failure to provide notice of change of address, a fourth-degree felony.
Robert J. Lutman, 48, Leetonia, was placed on 24 months community control, with 40 days in jail (38 credited) after pleading guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for possessing methamphetamine Nov. 28, 2021.
Jordan L. Gainer, 36, Youngstown, was sentenced to five to seven and half years in prison to be served concurrently with any sentence currently being served and fined $7,500 after pleading guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a second-degree felony, for possessing methamphetamine exceeding five times the bulk amount Dec. 27, 2021.
Alexis N. Harrison, 30, East Liverpool, was sentenced to 365 days in jail with credit for 292 for a probation violation.
Joshua A. Luketic, 28, East Palestine, was placed on probation for two years after pleading guilty to possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony, for possessing the drug Sept. 7, 2021.
Toby W. Jackson, 44, East Liverpool, was placed on two years probation for non-support of dependents, a fifth-degree felony, for failing to provide child support between Dec. 26, 2021 and Dec. 14, 2023.
Ashley Russell, 35, Salem, was placed in drug court until completion, not to exceed five years, after pleading guilty to possession of a fentanyl related compound, a fifth-degree felony, aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony, for possessing the drugs and attempting to destroy or conceal them Dec. 27, 2022.
