-- Officers responded at 6:26 p.m. on Monday to East High Street after receiving a call from a male subject who advised he felt as if "his tongue coming apart." Officers stayed on the scene until EMS arrived.
-- Officers took a call at 1:10 p.m. on Monday from a man who said his son, age 3, had fallen at the village's splash pad and caused him to have a seizure. He advised he did not EMS because he was already en route to Salem Regional Medical Center. The man later reported that his son had slipped, fell and hit his head. The child reportedly passed out and began seizing. The man said he wanted to file a report. He plans to ask the village to add sand in the paint mixture to make it less slick.
-- Officers responded at 6:22 p.m. on Monday to a report of a tree branch and power lines obstructing the roadway on Waddell Street. Officers blocked the road until Leetonia Fire Department and Ohio Edison were able to clear it.
-- Officers took a report from a woman on Columbia Street who complained about loud car exhausts keeping her up at night at 11:49 p.m. on Saturday. Officers found no vehicles with loud exhausts when they responded to the area.
-- Officers responded at 9:07 a.m. on Monday to the report of an unknown man attempting to access the gate to a residence on Pearl Street. Officers located the subject sitting on the steps of another residence on Pearl. The subject advised he went to the house to possibly use the phone after discovering an injured cat. The subject said he was currently homeless as he is "walking across the country" but is staying in a tent in the backyard at the address where he was found to be sitting. Officers made contact with the homeowner of the property who confirmed the subject has permission to be there.
-- Officers took a report from a man at he station at 2:40 p.m. of a lawnmower that had been tampered with. The owner of the lawnmower said he is doing work in the area and left the lawnmower at one of the properties on High Street. The lawnmower would not start and a repair man advised that someone had removed several bolts and the throttle cable. The man said repairs cost $250.
