Crismon’s time comes to an end

COLUMBIANA — Dave Crismon said it was time for him to concentrate on other things than winning or losing. Crismon told the Columbiana girls basketball team Friday he is leaving after eight seasons as head coach. “My wife was diagnosed with cancer,” he said. “It’s a journey for her and I feel I need to be there for her.” The Clippers hosted a benefit game for the Crismons in January 2025 after Amy was diagnosed with breast cancer. Potters post two winners at girls sectional wrestling tournament

CLAYMONT — East Liverpool’s Paige Cowan won at 125 pounds and Alanna McGonigal captured first at 179 to lead the Potters’ girls wrestling team on Sunday at the sectional meet at Claymont High School. Also for the Potters, Kera Coil finished second at 145, while Nariyiah Monterio (120) was third and Asia Momam (155) was fourth. COLUMBUS — East Liverpool senior Lani Rudibaugh had her best day of the 2026 bowling tournament trail Saturday. She finished 29th at the Ohio Division II girls state bowling tournament with a 504 series at H.P. Lanes. Rudibaugh had games of 188-141-175. She was ninth at the sectional tournament.
