Lisbon 67, Leetonia 50 LEETONIA — Lisbon clawed its way back to a two-way tie for first in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference by way of a 67-50 win over Leetonia coupled with a Columbiana loss to Valley Christian on Friday. Lisbon is 13-4 and 11-2 in the EOAC. The Blue Devils were set to clinch on Saturday at East Palestine but that game was postponed due to weather. It will be made up at a later date. East Liverpool hits rough spot

STEUBENVILLE — Down a couple of starters, Steubenville got off to a bit of a sloppy start Friday night. Hosting a youthful East Liverpool team on senior night in the Crimson Center, Steubenville took a little bit to adjust to a different line up and a 1-3-1 defensive look from the Potters and turned the ball over way more early on than veteran coach Mike Haney would have liked. Salem wrestling postponed

SALEM — Salem Junior/Senior High School will be closed again today because there is no heat due to an old gas line that is being replaced. Students in grades 7-12 were learning remotely Wednesday and today while workers put in a new line. Salem superintendent Sean Kirkland said a 10-inch gas line by the cafeteria that was installed when the school was built rusted through. He said the school uses natural gas for the boilers and five propane heaters were brought into the building Wednesday to keep the water pipes from freezing.
