Rudibaugh on way to state
COSHOCTON — East Liverpool senior Lani Rudibaugh is headed to the state bowling tournament.
The Potter rolled a 491 series to place second at the Division II district meet Thursday at Legacy Lanes.
The top two teams and top two individuals not on a qualifying team advanced to the Division II girls state bowling tournament set for Feb. 28 at H.P. Lanes in Columbus.
Rudibaugh rolled games of 153, 168 and 170.
She was ninth at the sectional tournament.
Carollton senior Kaylee Russell was the individual winner with a 500 series. Russell was the 2024 Ohio Division II state champion.
The two team qualifiers were Carrollton with 3,248 pins and Warsaw River View with 3,242. This is the ninth straight year the Carrollton girls have qualified for the state tournament.
Conotton Valley’s Madelyn Case took the other individual qualifier spot by taking fourth overall with a 486 series.
East Liverpool’s team was third (3,130). Also for the Potters, Cameron Estell placed fifth with a 469. Danni Riggle was seventh with a 461. Isabella Johnson was eighth with a 459.
Minerva was fourth with a team score of 2,969. The Lions’ leader was Rylan Klitz, who was sixth with a 463. Minerva senior and sectional champion Bailey Wood was 12th (443).
