Clippers control EOAC meet
COLUMBIANA — Columbiana’s boys golf team outlasted all Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference schools in a league meet on Tuesday at Valley Golf Club.
The Clippers had 170 to United’s 180, East Palestine’s 183, Southern’s 191, Lisbon’s 200, Leetonia’s 214 and Wellsville’s 214.
Columbiana is 7-1 and will host West Branch on Thursday.

BELOIT — West Branch went to a sixth golfer to earn a 191-191 tiebreak win over Beaver Local on Tuesday at Westville Lake.
For West Branch, Isabella Linger had a 45 as did Emma McLaughlin. Katelynn Schank had a 48, while Brylee Moore had a 53. Also for West Branch, Erin Albert had a 54 and Gianna Strotz 57.
For the Beavers, Mya Anderson had a 43, McKenzie Ash 47, Brenna Jones 49, Julianna Johnston 52, Georgie Long 54 and Emily Druschel 63.
Crestview girls
WARREN — Bristol topped Newton Falls and Crestview in girls golf action on Tuesday at Duck Creek.
Bristol had 182 to Newton Falls’ 202 and Crestview’s 241.
For the Rebels, Elaina Louk had a 52, Ally Farley 60, Maye Miller 63 and Dessa Huston 66.
Minerva 176, Salem 192
SALEM — Minerva defeated Salem 176-192 in boys golf action Tuesday at Salem Hills Golf Course.
Will Blackburn led the Lions with a 40, followed by Parker Linkous and Tyson Fetty each with 45 and Ben Smith and Reed Spall at 46.
Gabe Leek paced the Quakers with a 45. Traevon Washington shot 48, Tanner James 49 and Evan Croxall 50.
Salem (3-3, 0-2 Eastern Buckeye Conference) will face Marlington on Thursday at Tannenhauf Golf Course.
Flamingo Frenzy
PARMA — Columbiana placed 12th out of 24 teams Tuesday at the Flamingo Frenzy Invitational at Ridgewood Country Club.
Magnificat won the event with a team score of 287, followed by St. Joseph’s Academy at 303 and Nordonia at 317.
Columbiana totaled 355, led by Maddie Jackson’s 81. Alyssa Kakavros shot 85, Hannah Moffett 93 and Victoria Buckingham 96.
