A call to break voting by tradition

Dear Editor: I would like to just briefly address my fellow citizens who call themselves Democrats. I mean people whose parents, grandparents and great-grandparents who have voted for democrat politicians forever. Folks, this isn’t your ancestors’ Democrat party. That party is long gone. To the editor: As Fiscal Officer (FO) of Goshen Township, it is my responsibility to not only watch the current financial status of the township, but also to project the future financial status. After 13 years working with the road department budget, I believe it is time to add a Road Department Asset Replacement levy to our tax base. To the editor: Domestic Violence Awareness Month, as usual, is happening now, this October. Traditionally, it is a month to recognize the problem of domestic violence in our communities, call on the public to be supportive of measures to end domestic violence, ask for support for victims, and recognize the efforts of community organizations and public entities to address domestic violence. For weeks now there have been reports that Columbiana County Chief Assistant Prosecutor John Gamble was party to an incident at Pinky’s Lounge in New Garden, Ohio involving serious breaches of confidentiality and just plain inappropriate, illegal behavior by one in his position. This breach in confidentiality concerned highly sensitive and confidential information contained in an active Coroner’s Investigation relating to the tragic death of a local young lady, who in fact died of natural causes.
