To the editor: Jules Witcover is back on your editorial page writing about how good Biden is and how bad Trump was and is. I wonder what world he lives in! Yesterday, the Dow Jones average took a hit, a big hit, thanks to President Biden’s policies which have produced nothing but economic failure for the vast number of legal American citizens. Unhappy with vendor at Columbiana Street Fair

To the editor: I was deeply upset, and quite disappointed to see a bumper sticker for sale by a vendor at the Columbiana Street Fair with a vulgarity toward President Biden. The Columbiana Street Fair is a treasured community tradition enjoyed by families from far and wide. It saddens me to see such vulgarity on display for everyone to see, from young children to their grandmothers, walking the midway. Men’s Rally in the Valley spirit lives on

To the editor: Greetings from Men of Faith. If you are familiar with the Men’s Rally in the Valley you know that we suffered a devastating blow just three months prior to the last Rally. The loss of our President, Bing Newton, put the whole organization into a tail spin. As an organization we were in conflict. “But God” the theme for the 2022 Rally took on a whole new meaning for those of us who depended on Bing’s direction. Community members fighting proposed solar project

To the editor: We in Franklin Township are, involuntarily, in the fight for our livelihood and way of life. A massive industrial-sized solar project is threatening to engulf 2,264 acres of our beautiful township. Three non-resident landowners (and one landowner with no panels planned near their residence) have signed 35-year leases with a Canadian company to occupy farmland with solar panels. Congrats to the Columbiana County voters

To the editor: I would like to congratulate Columbiana County voters. According to unofficial results from the Ohio Secretary of State, the August 2 special primary had very low voter turnout across the state, only 7.93%.  Columbiana County was 1 of only 14 counties with 10% or greater voter turnout. Neighboring counties, Mahoning and Stark had 9.08% and 5.69%, respectively.
