Margaret Callahan

Margaret Callahan, 92, of Pleasant City, passed away Tuesday (January 25, 2022) at SEORMC.

She was born February 9, 1929 in Galeton, Pa., daughter of the late Carl and Mildred “Jenny” (Ferguson) Biser.

Margaret retired from March Electric in 1992 after 29 years of service. She was a graduate of Waterford High School, and a member of Harmony Christian Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, watching game shows, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune; The Price is Right and Let’s Make a Deal. She also enjoyed gardening vegetables. Her great grandchildren were the light of her life.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Callahan whom she married in 1949 and passed away in 1977; siblings, Bill Biser, Marie McCann, Dorothy Barnhouse, Eugene Biser, and Charles Biser.

She is survived by one son Allen (Pam) Callahan of Pleasant City; one brother Frank (Geraldine) Biser of East Palestine, Ohio; one sister, Ruth Seidner of Columbiana, Ohio; grandchildren, April (Brian) Giesey of Pleasant City, Bill (Marilyn) Callahan of Pleasant City and Darrick (Chelsea) Callahan of Byesville; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Savannah, Laramie and Liberty Giesey, Madysen, Chloe, Clayton, Summer, Sophie and Sadie Callahan; several nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held with burial in Harmony Christian Cemetery.
