County Sheriff — A man and woman from Gavers Road, Hanover Township, were taken into custody at the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Office at 4:40 p.m. Saturday on active warrants out of Minerva Police Department, Stark County. They had come to the sheriff’s office to file a theft report. A female victim told deputies that she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend at the Elk Run Water Plant. Criminal charges were filed. — A disturbance was reported in the parking lot of Family Dollar, state Route 45, Lisbon, at 10:28 p.m. Saturday involving people inside a vehicle yelling and screaming.
