Court News LISBON – A Lisbon man sentenced to at least nine years in prison for threatening to kill a woman while choking her and punching her last fall has appealed his sentence. Frederick E. Krueger, 35, Shelby Road, is appealing his punishment after Columbiana County Common Pleas Court Judge Scott Washam found him guilty during a trial to the court in August. Washam sentenced him to six years for felonious assault, a second-degree felony, plus an additional three years for strangulation, a third-degree felony, bringing the minimum total to nine years. Columbiana High School Class of ‘61 lunch canceled Columbiana High School Class of 1961 has canceled the lunch gathering for September. The date of the monthy luncheon at the American Legion conflicts with the set-up activity for the annual Street Fair that week. Deputies found the man involved had already left, but the victim declined medical assistance.
